As I trudged down the road, I already began to have regrets about leaving Daniel. "I'm alone now." I thought to myself sadly. "With......No one." Daniel could have kept me company. Caring for him would have given me something to do. And he didn't have to get hurt. So I leave him and then what? A carrier gets him. That's more likely than another person coming for him. But there's always, I save him, love him, then he gets hurt. But maybe physical pain isn't the only pain humans need to feel. Love and sadness will happen in a lifetime but if all you do is survive and not live, what is the point of life? Then I stopped dead in my tracks. I saw a carrier walking towards me. I pulled out my knife and killed it swiftly. Would have to teach a child, a small child, to kill? If that was what had to be done. I would do it. I can't let Daniel to think I will do everything for him. Then it came. I stared in horror as I looked straight ahead hundreds maybe thousands of carreirs walking toward me. I turned around I couldn't ake them all! I began to run back to Daniels house and realized they were coming from that way too! I sprinted to the house and burst through the door. I ran upstairs and grabbed Daniel. I found a chest carrier and strapped Danny to my chest. I grabbed the baby bag. I bolted down the stairs into the kitchen and grabbed every food item and cooking utensil I could find. I ran into the last room it looked like a library. and in the corner I found a small fold up stoller. I also found a red wagon. I placed the heavy bag and the stroller into the wagon with the food and the utensils. Then I unstrpped Danny and palced him in the wagon as well. I looked out the back window. No carriers in the back. I saw the neighborhood fence. I could easily lift myself an the wagon over if I really tried. I opened the door and ran as quickly as I could back to the fence. I set Danny down beside me and lifted the wagon over the fence. Somethings spilled out but we could get them. I zipped Danny in my jaket and began to climb. I was almost there. BAM! My head hurt so badly. I opened my eyes and saw that a carrier had grabbed my boot and pulled me down. He sat beside me and attacked me. I held him back from my face. I placed my foot below his chest cavity and flipped him over my body. I began to climb again. Just before I reached the top he grabbed me and started to pull again. Only then did I remember Daniel was in my Jacket. I kicked and waved trying to make him let me go. I reaced for my knife then remembered I left it in the wagon. I still had my gun! And I wasn't staying long enough to watch more carriers come. I pulled it out of my pocket, I rubbed my back on the gate till my hood caught the gate. I held Dannys' head close to my chest pushed his ears shut. and pulled the trigger. The blast made Daniel jump, but I don't think his hearing was effected. I climbed the fence gathered the wagon contents and with Danny still in my coat.....I ran.
