I came into a subdivision. A sign said it was called Goldfield. It was a small area with nice houses. I would stay for a few days, then pack my stuff onto a car with some extra gas, and bust out. I checked a few houses for food and carriers. When I didn't see any carriers I decided it would be a good idea to get some sleep. Any food I found went to the car. The next morning, I decided to take a walk around Goldfield. It seemed very peaceful. I looked at houses, admiring birds and animals that walked, by. But, unlike this subdivision, my mind was not peaceful. My thoughts were on my parents. How did I get back to the cabin? Who killed my mom? Did she kill herself? Why? So many questions without answers. I started to think. Why was I still here anyway? If I wanted to I could just wait for a carrier to killed me I could just die. I decided, I had no purpose. I would just wait for a carrier to eat me. I chose a nice quiet porch. I threw my knife and gun over into the grass. I layed down. Now, I would wait. I sat there for hours. Just waiting for carriers. But, none came. They didn't come. I continued to wait. I decided there were, surprisingly, no carriers in this neighborhood. So, I would continue to walk until one found me. So I started slowly up the street. I walked past a bright golden house on my way. But then, something made me stop dead in my tracks. A sound. Not loud but distinguishable. It was the cry of a baby. A baby? That means people right? Maybe it was a carrier baby that would bite me. Either way I had to investigate. So, bravely I approached the front door.
