I dashed into the cold night air, my gun ready at all times. I looked all around. I didn't see anything. I ran calling her. "MOM!" No answer. I checked everywhere. I ran until I didn't know which way was up or down. Then, I came to a clearing. The warm sunlight touched my skin and I realized how tired I was. I fell, out of tiredness, sadness, and overall hopelessness. I fell asleep. The sounds of the forest woke me up. I stood up and brushed the bugs and dirt off my clothes, and looked around. I felt so calm in the silence of the forest. But it wasn't quite right. I wasn't alone. I heard...noises. Breathing sounds. They were heavy, and not human. I whipped out my gun and took aim, but I didn't see any carriers. Nothing. In the comforting silence I hadn't noticed, a thick fog had rolled in around me. I now heard more breathing everywhere...Surrounding Me!!!!! I couldn't see them. So I Couldn't shoot them. Then they came into view. Maybe twenty. All circling around me. They were too close to shoot, so I pulled my knife out of my boot, and readily waited for them to come into range. I watched the closest one. She was a female, with blonde hair tied into a bun, wearing a sundress, caked with blood. I raised my knife ready to stab her right in the head. I swung my arm down, then stopped midway. I came to my senses a few moments later. A carrier had grabbed me and pulled me down. I wrestled with him until he released my arm. Then I plunged my knife into his head causing me to become splateres with blood. Then more and more and more came upon me I could only manage to keep out of their reach. Finally the blonde girl came at me when I killed her she fell on top of me. I couldn't move. I tried to pull her off but she wasn't budging. I pulled out my gun, I managed to fight of the last two. But, the final one I killed fell atop of my arm. I dropped my gun. My knife was just out of reach. Then I hears limping. The sound of legs being dragged through the leaves. I reached frantically for my knife, then I saw the dark silhouette. I dragged over to me. I reached down and grabbed me. Giving one last fling for my knife I grabbed it. All went black.
