Elizabeth stands at the stove on the island in her kitchen, Billie placed across from her at a bar stool as Nathan comes descending down the stairs of their flat.
"No, it's for Billie and I. I already made your protein shake, it's in the fridge."
"You do know me so well, love." Nathan kisses her lips gently.
Billie stares at the counter, her heart in ache.
Once Nathan grabs his shake from the fridge, he turns to look at Billie; shaking the bottle roughly as he nods over to her. "You must be Billie, yeah?"
His Australian accent took her by surprise, she tries not to let the intimidation show. "Yeah. Nathan, right?"
"It's nice to meet you mate." Nathan puts his hand out for Billie to shake. His muscles showing within his firm grip. "Elizabeth has told me so much about you."
Nathan knew somewhat about what had gone on between Billie and his girlfriend in the past. Of course, Elizabeth had left out the violent details. They just seemed so unimportant now. Regardless, Nathan didn't feel threatened in the least. For he was successful and thought Elizabeth was in love with him.
"Billie and I are going to head out to my work. I thought maybe she could get in some shots with the photographer sometime this week for a fold-out in her new album."
