"𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐣𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟."

"OKAY BILLIE, WE'RE GOING TO RUN THAT ONE MORE TIME, ALRIGHT?"

The blonde-haired girl gives a thumbs-up through the glass; headphones set to her head.

Elizabeth, the rest of the group, as well as their producer all place themselves in the black fabricated room. Watching into the room on the other side of a plexiglass window. Billie sitting on a stool with her acoustic guitar on her lap.

"That riff is insane, how did she come up with that?" Finneas asks the room, tapping his finger to his crossed arms in rhythm.

"She was up all night working on it." Elizabeth lets her take all the credit. It was of no use for her to take it.

"I've never seen someone shred on a guitar like that kid does when she's in her groove." Finneas shakes his head, faintly hearing the backing of what Billie was playing.

They stand to watch for a while, content with how the final run went about. Billie removes her headphones, opening the wooden door to meet with the others.

"I think this one is going to top our previous ones." She approaches them, absentmindedly resting her arm around Elizabeth's waist. Elizabeth settles into her hold.

"I love you topped the charts for three months straight." Claudia points out, brushing her long hair away from her forehead.

"Yeah, who knew all Billie needed was to get her heartbroken," Finneas adds with a laugh.

In fact, they all chuckle a bit at the thought. Except for Elizabeth, for she was still bitter over what she had done to Billie.

"Well, we can blame this next one on Elizabeth too, she practically wrote it." Billie nudges her, expecting a smile. She doesn't give off one.

"Wait this new one? Elizabeth you wrote that?"

"No." She mumbles to Claudia. "Like two lines."

"Two lines that changed the entire song." Billie tries to cheer her up, for she sensed that something was off with her.

"I'd say let's hire her in again but, we don't even control our own amps anymore."
