IT WAS SO, INCREDIBLY DARK FOR A WEDNESDAY IN CALIFORNIA.
The sky filled with clouds, letting the afternoon drown in the spring rain.
And much like the clouds, Billie was sad.
Empty.
And bored.
It was getting late, the room surrounding Billie in a lurking darkness. She lays on her back on her bed, staring at her ceiling within the silence. The rain that pattered to her windows was the only thing that managed to drown out the commotion from the city streets down below.
Much like Elizabeth, she had found herself living in her own apartment, directly in the heart of L.A. But she lived alone.
Typically, she was consistently running around to fulfill her job. Whether that meant performing, recording, or writing.
But lately, she wasn't able to do much of anything. For, ever since she had left New York a little over a week ago; she hadn't been able to put much of anything on her brain. Not much of anything but Elizabeth.
And how much she had missed her.
Her finger taps on her stomach in rhythm, looking beside her at her phone that lay on the blankets. She had been contemplating for hours whether she should text her or not.
