For the first time in weeks, you finally got in a few hours of good sleep. No nightmare, no nothing. Just a nice, calm, quiet, sleeping session.
*Bzzzzzt Bzzzzzt Bzzzzzt*
But with the phone ringing, your eyes shot open and you slowly reached to grab the vibrating electric box.
"Hello?"
"Y/n! It's Nami! Your job will be starting at 7 today, so get ready. We have a baby coming in today by the name of Zoro, goodluck!"
"Thanks Nami, I appreciate the heads up. I'll be there in 30."
"See you then Y/n! and don't dress up too nice, you'll probably get slobber here and there if you do."
With one last laugh, you could imagine her grin as she hung up.
Laughing to yourself at Nami's enthusiasm and standing up, you looked down at yourself to see you in yesterday's clothes. Quickly grabbing a f/c hoodie and a pair of joggers, you readied yourself in the bathroom.
As you finished up, you grabbed an apple, your car keys, and phone, and quickly locked the door on your way out.
'Hmmm...Zoro. This'll be interesting."
During your drive to the Daycare, you decided to grab some drinks and pastries from the cafe nearby for Robin and Nami. Robin getting a black and blueberry scone, Nami a tangerine and lemon tart, while you grabbed yourself a raspberry and strawberry tart. The drinks were either tea or coffees.
Pulling up to the building, you finally noticed the big pastel blue sign up top, gracing the Daycare's hooded roof, entitling bright and welcoming words "Sunny Go Daycare".
You grabbed the bag of pastries and coaster of warm drinks, along with your keys and phone, locking the door on the way to the building's entrance.
Nami, noticing your struggle at the door, rushed over to open the door for you as you set the bag and coaster on the front desk. With a little ring, the door closed and Nami walked over to you with a grin.
"Morning Y/n, you're quite early. Zoro doesn't get here in another 15 minutes. "
Checking your phone, you see that it is indeed 6:45. Had you really gotten here that fast?
"Well, I decided to grab some pastries and drinks for you and Robin today as a sort of opening gift. I didn't know what you guys liked, so I got what I thought matched best with your personalities."
With an awkward shuffle, you rubbed the back of your neck.
"I guess that means I don't need to fee you for yesterday's directions."
You did a double take and stared at Nami as if she grew snails on her head.
"Fee me? You were going to fee me for giving me directions to an office?"
"That's what Nami does best, put a price on everything."
Looking to your left, you see Robin walking in with her usual, small smile, but with a chuckle.
Smiling, you also gave a small chuckle.
"I'll be looking forward to future fees on getting directions to the bathroom."
