how vee, quite casually, disappeared from the earth

chap 7 - sana x yuna pt 1

"I'm gonna go to jail." alyelle said to sana, her voice hollow.

"You don't have to." sana replied, confused

"Where else can i go?"

"Home."

"This is home, sana. I've got no other place to go."

"If you think jail is better than the streets... go for it." sana shrugged, unfeeling. "stay safe, girl. Maybe you can try and find vee or ananya. Alba and icy might let you come back. We really need you."

"No, you don't. Otherwise, you wouldn't let me go this easily." alyelle snapped, and stood up. She pushed the chair away.

"No, alyelle- I can't do this without you!" sana called frantically.

"Yes, you can." she turned her back on sana and walked out of the casino.

Yuna came over to sana, and she pressed her face against yuna's silk jacket that fit nicely over her white shirt. Alyelle had designed it; now she wouldn't even be around anymore.

"It's all going to be fine, don't worry." yuna hugged sana.

"Should we tell the campers?" sana asked through tears, nearly incomprehensible.

"Yeah..." yuna answered. Sana sobbed. I think sana's crying too much but i can't make her stop. I have absolutely no control over my characters, they have a mind of their own.

"What do i do?" sana asked, looking up at yuna with huge, innocent eyes. "I can't control these campers. I don't know how to lead. All i know is how to put the chickens to sleep- and add word counts."

"Don't worry. I'll help you." yuna promised, blinking back, staring into sana's gray eyes. "we'll do this together. Don't worry."

"Thank you." sana sniffed.

"I love you, you know that?" yuna told sana, hugging her again.

"I love you too..." sana blushed and hugged her back. So wholesome, I agree.

"Come on, lets go announce this to the campers." yuna told sana, and sana nodded in between sniffs. She wiped away her tears and then went into the hallway of the casino.

All the campers were waiting there. "HAPPY APRIL FOOLS!" they all screamed.

"Ah-" sana bit her lip as yuna addressed the crowd. "Alyelle is no longer with us." to her surprise, they all started laughing. Really loudly.

"OMG," cat wheezed, "THATS LIKE THE BEST APRIL FOOLS JOKE EVER! AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA-"

"It's not a joke. I promise." everyone stopped laughing.

"W-what happened?" asked payton, stepping forward. The tear tracks on sana's face were nearly gone by now, and she was furious.

"You happened."

"Wow, brilliant comeback." yuna laughed lightheartedly.

"Shut-"

"Happy words!!" cherry squealed.

"What happened?" payton asked again.

"You h-"

"Alyelle got demoted because of your escapade." yuna said calmly. "Sana and i will be in charge of the cabin."

"Temporarily or forever?" sunny asked.

"I don't know yet, hopefully temporarily. But its most likely forever." sana felt another tear slipping down her cheek.

"Jeez, is our leader gonna be crying all the time?" asked rachel.

"Uh, yeah. You got a problem with that?" yuna guided sana towards the office. Once again- who knows what goes on behind the scenes? I certainly don't know.

"Wait," sana called to payton, "meet me in my office." alright, turns out nothing... weird is going on behind the doors.

Yuna sighed as payton caught up to them. "That poor girl had to deal with alyelle yelling at her. You sure you want to put her through this?" she whispered. Sana nodded.

"I'm not gonna be mean or anything. She just, you know, has to know what she did wrong- or else we're going to have to fill out as much paperwork as alyelle did."

"Ah." yuna murmured, and pecked sana lightly on the cheek. Sana blushed as yuna hummed pleasantly and positioned herself in her normal spot - on the wall.

"Hello?" payton said nervously as she positioned herself in the chair. Much better than hanging on the wall like a fly... buzz buzz.

"Oh, that reminds me," sana said, "have you read my bug in the char fanfic? Its about sini and alyelle. It's basically a bdsm story, especially about bondage cause she's trapped in that little bug contraption. Wanna read?"

"Uh," payton stuttered, "no thanks."

"Okay. you asked what happened?" sana took a deep breath, trying to control her anger. However, she had the shortest temper out of all the co's/leaders, so it didn't last that long. "Alyelle got demoted because alba saw YOU playing cards when you weren't supposed to. Your gamblin privileges were gone. So why were you gambling, may I ask? They thought we couldn't handle our own camper's punishments; they saw the wine and beer, which YOU drank out of your own free will. But you, cherry, and serrie were supposed to clean that up. Its YOUR job. I TOLD you to be on your best behavior when they came, and you didn't. And ON TOP OF THAT, alba thought something was WRONG with you because you were gambling with your FEET."

"Well, when you say it like that..." payton muttered out of the corner of her mouth. Sana hit the table hard.

"You're just like alyelle." yuna said soothingly, laughing a little, "come on. I'll put you to sleep." is yuna the person who, like, puts everyone to sleep? Smirk emoji time. No i didn't say anything why would you think that-

"Please. Just go. You are giving me a migraine ack-" sana sighed and slid down in the chair that alyelle should've been occupying.

"Alright..." payton murmured and stepped out of the office. It wasn't her fault that a CERTAIN SOMEONE had stolen her fingers. She kind of needed her fingers, though. Maybe she could get some? Vee had her fingers, and since vee already had her original fingers, maybe she could just... get it back! But first, she had to find vee. No one knew where vee was, though. She'd been missing for a while, and so had ananya.

Wait, wasn't serrie going to find vee?

Huh.

Something was wrong about this, but payton ignored the feeling. It was probably her fingerless body telling her nonsense.

She skipped along the hallway. It certainly wasn't her fault that alyelle was kicked out of swc and maybe in jail. She was cute and quite tiny; after all, what harm could a small, fingerless girl do?
