Instincts

When Taehyung woke up next morning Jungguk was already left for his room, which made him sigh both in relief and disappointment. He knew it would be awkward for them to open eyes looking at each other. Tae thanked Guk Silently. Jungguk was also feeling the same , he didn't want to upset Taehyung or invade his privacy just because he helped him sleep and escape from whatever nightmare he was having the previous night. He knew even it will be awkward for them to meet gaze , it also opened a door for them to be at ease and comfortable around each other. Also they didn't want their friends to know about the night. Little did they know that someone with a gummy smile already saw them hugging each other when he came down to drink water. Though he chose to not talk about it until both of them were ready.

They both act as nothing happened and have their breakfast with the others. Even Jimin And Ryota joined them. Ryota is a singer and pursuing his career in Japan but he often visits his boyfriend Jimin and helps him with their dance studio. He is planning to move to Korea next year. He is a very sweet boy and get along well with everyone so easily. Jungguk then informed them about the educational camp fro hybrid kids and invited them all to participate. When Taehyung was a bit hesitant Yoongi told him that he is also a part of the camp where he will teaching kids music. He looked a Jungguk for confirmation and he nodded. Jimin and Ryota were sad that they wouldn't be able to participate as Jimin already planned a getaway fro them the said day. Hoseok who knew about the camp because of Yoongi, but it was also news to him that Jungguk was the one conducting the camp.

He also explained what exactly they are planning to do at the camp. It was mainly for hybrid kids who were abandoned at orphanages. To make them gain their confidence ,letting them know about their hybrid instincts. Taehyung felt like an ignorant person who has no idea about instincts and all. What instincts ?? And he decides to go and check that for himself as he can't ask about them to anyone. His baffled expression doesn't go unnoticed by Jungguk. When it is time for them to return to their own places Tae asks for Jungguk's phone number when everyone except only them are inside the house. And he murmurs a little Thank you before going out. Yoongi gives a knowing smile at Jungguk when he comes out too  And they drive back home.

Even when they exchanged numbers they tried not to be too glued on the phone. And Jungguk only texts Tae only the day before the camp , reminding to come with Namjoon and Yoongi. Jin is busy and Hobi has to run the studio because Jimin is going away. He also informed Tae that he is going a day early to look at the arrangements. Namjoon, Yoongi and Tae drives early to the camp. It is arranged at a place near the woods, with a clear stream running near the tents. There are many orphanage banners representing different colors. And there are kids from age 2 -17. The little ones are energetic and have no idea about what their parents and this world has done to them. They are not worried about a thing in the world and running around giggling and playing catch. Taehyung' s heart ache for them. Namjoon pats his shoulder and gives him a fond smile. Yoongi nudges him to go and interact with the children. He hesitantly goes towards them. But seeing him some children run towards him and ask him to tell them a story. He lifts a girl around two year old who is also trying to climb over him.

" Ima is a Monkey.." A boy next to Tae says.

"That's mean..."Tae replies.

Ima blinks at him and showing her little teeth babbling something that ends with yeah.

Taehyung coos at that. And he also pat the boy's head and talks to him how good boys should take care of their younger ones. The boy becomes sad and kisses little Ima saying "swoyi". Ima just giggles at the boy and gives him a lick showing her blue shining eyes.

"aa you a dud boy ? " one of the kids asks Tae.

"Oh.. I wasn't and that is why I didn't have any friends. " he replies.

"Now ...? " A girl who looks the oldest in the group asks.

" Now..." he thinks ..and smiles at them and " Now i have some."

" Then you are dud boy ..."

" yeah.." Ima also joins them like she understood everything.

Jungguk and the other two elder watches him from afar and smiles. They walk towards the kids all get excited seeing their hyungs. They all are familiar with the three of them except for Tae but they already love him. The little boy runs and jumps on Jungguk and he lifts him, the boy hugs him and says " I'm a dud boy ".

" ofcourse you are.." Jk replies.

"hyung dud boy now too " he says.

" Is that so ? " Jungguk gives Tae a mischievous smile that make Tae's heart flutter.

The camp started after a few minutes. Namjoon asks Taehyung to be with older kids who are attending the class of instincts. Taehyung is confused " how did Namjoon know ? ...yeah ofcourse his Jin hyung. " he mumbles. Since the day Taehyung was adopted he was very distant and he was home schooled. He refused to come out from his room unless he needed something. Only the things he needed to pass the board exams were taught to him . so the class about instincts, ancestry and hybrid characteristics were never taught to him. Those were the extra lesson that were taught in hybrid school as the kids grew older. But he was informed that he belongs to Siberian tiger hybrid class, which was very rare. He knew about it when he went to give blood, . There weren't any class related to Siberian Tigers but about Bengal tiger and Sumatran tiger who are comparatively smaller than the Siberians in size and in the matter of their characteristics. After listening to it for a while Tae got tired and sat near the stream. Jungguk who was coming from checking the music class saw him and went near him.

" what are you doing here ? " Jk asks.

" oh...ah nothing ,I ..." Tae trails off.

" Got bored ?"

" I didn't know we had to learn so much about us ..though I didn't learn much from here either. I didn't I..We were ....different "

" You are not different Tae...You are unique. And yes there are characteristics that make you more attractive. but you are never different or a weirdo like people call you guys. " Jk talks.

Tae gives him a small smile. " You are doing a great job here helping the kids. If I ...can help in anyway I am willing to help. "

" ofcourse you can..anybody can contribute ..please don't think it's small or big. We don't do that here. You can check the catalog and decide what you want to do.

Taehyung nods and they sit there in silence. it's not awkward he contemplates what to say next. " I...I had a troubled childhood. That is why I am having nightmares. "

Jungguk takes Tae's hand hold it tightly. " Don't put pressure on yourself. I am happy that you are opening up and I will be here for you no matter what. But just don't open a wound for the sake of opening it. It might hurt you more than you can imagine."

Taehyung understands what Jungguk is saying and he shakes his head. " I want to even if it is only a bit. I don't remember much but it is not a happy memory. My parents were slaves I guess ? they were afraid of someone. And they hurt them ?? My mother always made me drink something ..now that I remember it.. it was some sleeping pills or drugs which made me sleep and i always woke up in a closet. Sometimes I have the same dream about they making me drink that. Then... then ..one day they slept and didn't wake up. Jin hyung's parents knew my parents I don't know how and I never asked. They were kind to me but I was so lean and unhealthy so I was in and out of hospital for a few years. " His breathing becomes uneven and Jungguk hugs and whispers " stop ".
