Chapter 12: The Night Falls

It's been a few years now. 6 years to be exact. Both Adrien, Marinette, Chloe, and their other friends grew more intimate and close to one another. Chloe embraced Marinette's love for Adrien more and Adrien's love for Marinette. Even though she was the one getting married to him. Gabriel started to like Chloe a little but he looked forward to seeing Marinette often.

A week before the wedding, Alya decided to surprise Chloe with her own bachelorette party. Marinette agreed with the idea and added that they should invite more of their friends. She texted Juleka, Rose, Alix, Mylene, and even Sabrina. Alya started a group call.

Alya: Okay girls. The theme is Yellow. So we need yellow balloons, yellow presents, and probably bring some yellow food.

Sabrina: I'll set the venue!

Alix: I'll handle the streamers. Let's add a hint of black so it's contrasting.

Rose: And me and Juleka will handle the food!

Marinette: I'll handle those. You two can handle the surprise.

Juleka: I have a perfect idea. We're gonna kidnap her and then bring her to the party.

All of them: No...that's not really the best...

Alix: She's probably gonna tell her dad that someone kidnapped her. She's gonna be like; "DADDY! HELP MEEEE SOMEONE KIDNAPPED MEEE!!". Lol.

Marinette: I'm sure she wouldn't do that Alix. Chloe has changed for the past years. Go ahead you two. Just make sure that she doesn't call the mayor.

Juleka and Rose: *salutes*

Alya: Alright then it's all settled then. See you later girls!!

THEY ALL HANG UP

As soon as the call ended, Marinette went on downstairs to their bakery to bake some cupcakes. Her father tried to get and eat some but she was able to stop him. An hour later, she was able to finish a hundred cupcakes when the bakery's door opened and the bell rang. Marinette was surprised to see it was Adrien. She noticed he was holding two boxes; one was bright yellow and the other was a pastel pink. "Give this yellow one to Chloe please Marinette. You and the girls are having a bachelorette party right?" he asked her as she smiled. She nodded sincerely and grabbed the box. "And this other one...is for you." Adrien gently passed her the box.

"M-me? Umm...thank you..." she opened it to see a cute pink teddy bear with a red heart in the middle engraved''Love". "Chloe's is also like that. So make sure you give it to her please Marinette." Adrien told her. She went near to him and gave him a little kiss on the cheek. "I will." She smiled as he started to leave the bakery.

Meanwhile in an unknown part of Paris, just near the park, a mysterious man was talking to someone. The man was on the phone as he sat down and he was watching the news that Adrien and Chloe are getting married. "Yes boss...it'll be done before the wedding even starts." He replied to his caller and he looked at the picture of Gabriel Agreste.

Later that day, Chloe just finished her manicure at her local salon when all of a sudden a white van stopped in front of her. Out came 2 masked civilians and dragged her inside. She covered her mouth and took her phone. Little did she know the two masked civilians were Rose and Juleka who are now bringing her to the bachelorette party. As they arrived, Chloe kept telling them to let go of her. But the moment she unblindfolded her, she was stunned. "Surprise!!!" All the girls greeted her. They all had fun. Marinette gave Chloe the present from Adrien. "Tell him I said thank you, Marinette." Chloe smiled as she hugged the teddy bear. "No problem." she smiled.

As they partied, Marinette felt someone watching them from outside. She headed to the window but no one was there. "Something wrong girl?" Alya placed her hand on her shoulder. "No. Nothing. Hehe" she smiled awkwardly.

That night, the mysterious man searched for Gabriel Agreste. He went inside his room and found him sleeping. He found by his bed a prescription;

Paris General Hospital

Patient Name: Gabriel Agreste

Diagnosed: Kidney Stones (Fatal Stage)

The mysterious man immediately called for his boss and told him about Gabriel's condition. "Perfect...guess we don't need that AK-47 then." his boss said from the phone. "There's morphine in your bag. Try to inject his serum with it. He'll surely be dead by then." The boss replied back. As he was about to, he heard walking from outside his room and tried to hide. It was Nathalie. "Mr. Agreste? It's time for your medications." Nathalie tried to wake Gabriel up. But there was no response. Minutes have already passed. Nathalie called both Adrien, Chloe, and Marinette.

"Your father isn't waking up!!"
