Oneshot #2 Liar (Marinette x Reader)

A/N: This is before Marinette realizes that Lila always lies.

You entered the school and feel everyone staring at you. You clench your hands around the straps of your backpack as you avoid their stares.
Why are they looking at me?

You spot your girlfriend, Marinette, with her face buried on Alya's shoulder. Adrien was patting her back in a comforting manner. You walk over to them stopping next to Marinette. You place your hand on her shoulder.

"Hey, Mari what's wrong?" She lifts her head and you see tears spilling from her eyes.

"I think you should leave." Adrien told you as he put his arm between you and Marinette. Nino joined his side as Alya moved away continuing to comfort Marinette.

"W-what why?" You looked between them as Nino shook his head. Adrien let out a sigh before looking at you in the eyes.

"She found out you cheated on her with Luka." You were in shock as he glared at you.

"But I didn't!" You shouted causing everyone to go silent. Adrien shook his head in dissapointment.

"I thought you were better than this, but I guess I was wrong" He began walking away before stopping.

"I won't be friends with someone who hurts those I care about." He continued walking towards Marinette and Alya. Nino turned around as well.

"Not cool." He went with the others.

You stood alone confused out of your mind.

Throughout your classes you tried to talk with Marinette, but someone was always with her. As you are heading out of the school you see Marinette walking alone. You run over to her.

"Mari!" She turned around.

"..."

"Mari, you must have misunderstood"  You grabbed both her hands looking at her puffy red eyes.

"I never cheated on you with Luka! We are just friends!"

"STOP LYING" She ripped her hands away from yours.

"Lila told me what you did when she saw me with Adrien, Nino, and Alya." She clenched her hands at her sides. "So stop lying!"

"Lila? But-"

"SHE SAW YOU MAKING OUT WITH LUKA YESTERDAY!"

"But I left Paris after school was ove-"

"STOP SAYING LIES!" She suddenly looked at her purse and took a deep breath.

"What reason could you have for conveniently leaving Paris?" She sat down on a nearby bench.

"I-I can't say.." She slowly shook her head.

"Then, I'm sorry, but I just can't believe you.." She slowly stood up. "We can't be together anymore"

"Why?.." She looked at you as you struggled to hold back tears.

"You don't seem to trust me," She looked to the side before focusing on you again, "a relationship is built on trust and we don't seem to have that"

"Goodbye Y/N" You choked back tears as you watch her walk away.

"I love you Mari.." You falled to your knees clutching your head.

"Father why did you force me to hide the reason for my absence." You mumbled.

You felt something vibrate in your pocket. You took out your phone and saw the caller ID Father. You hesitantly answered the call.

"Y/N stand up and come home you are being a disgrace to the family name you ungrateful brat." He ended the call.

You stay unmoving unaware of a purple butterfly flying towards you.
