Juleka is sitting on Marinette's bed as the group as usual discuses ways to get Marinette to confess her love to Adrien. Her focus only on the bright screen in her hands drowning out Marinette's ramble on hamsters.
"Juleka do you have any ideas that could work?" Rose's voice goes unheard as Juleka's phone dings causing a smile to form on her face.
"Juleka?" Rose repeats gaining her attention.
Juleka tucks a strand of hair behind her ear bashfully, "sorry."
"No need to apologize," Alya smiles raising an eyebrow, "What's got you smiling?"
"Oh it's nothing," Juleka dismisses softly smiling at her screen, "Aren't we helping Marinette?"
"You've helped me many times it's only fair if I do the same" Marinette states ending her rambling.
With the encouraging looks from the others Juleka turns her phone around for the others to see.
"YouTuber Phantom will be performing in Paris featuring their new album Our Strange Duet this coming month. Let's show our support!" Rose narrates the announcement.
"You should go Juleka!" Rose encourages.
"You think so?" She responds fiddling with her fingers.
"Yeah! You looked excited about it when you were notified," Marinette adds, "we can all go if you're not comfortable going alone, right guys?"
"Definitely!"
"Yeah!"
"Of course!"
"You can count on us Juleka!"
"Thanks" Juleka smiles the others responding with one of their own.
After a few hours of hanging out with each other they all depart from Marinette's home. Juleka heads to the supermarket to get a few things her mother needed for dinner. Having obtained the cheese she heads to the fish section for the salmon. Finding that there is only one salmon packet left.
She reaches for it, but her hand comes into contact with another. She is frozen at the contact as the other hand quickly retreats.
"Ah I deeply apologize I was reaching for the Cod, please let me pay for the salmon."
Juleka regained her composure from being startled and meets their eyes waving her hands dismissing their apology and offer.
"That isn't necessary" she whispers, but the stranger was able to hear.
"Please accept my offer I'm new to this area and I don't want to start off on the wrong foot with the people I'll be seeing around," the stranger rubs their nape in embarrassment, "after all we might be classmates soon."
Juleka goes to pick up the salmon, but stops as the stranger takes it first.
"I'm keeping the salmon until the queen accepts the offer from this mere peasant." The stranger playfully bows sticking their tongue out almost falling over as Juleka softly chuckle's.
"Alright," Juleka answers taking the salmon back leaving the stranger dumbfounded at her quickness. The stranger stumbles getting the Cod trying to catch up to the salmon bearer with a beaming smile on their face.
After paying they head out and walk together.
"So, may I know the name of the Salmon Queen?" The stranger dramatically asks.
"That depends if the Cod Majesty will tell me theirs first." She playfully pushes the other who in turn lets out an exaggerated sigh.
"I'm Y/N" they extend their arms in emphasis.
"It's nice to meet you Y/N, I'm Juleka." Y/N takes her hand in theirs and places a kiss on it maintaining eye contact softly smiling after the act.
"The pleasures mine, Juleka."
