*RYAN'S POV*
Waking up today, I had the brightest smile on my face because it was my babybear's birthday, and I specifically told her to spend the day with me, and she gladly agreed. I have had planned a lot for this day, and I really wanted to make her feel special on her day. When I was talking to her the other day, she said that she didn't like celebrating her birthday. I mean, that's a pretty strange point of view because everyone liked celebrating their special day, which was their birthday. When I asked her why she didn't like to celebrate her birthday, she said, "What's the point of people remembering you only on the day you were born and then forgetting about you for the rest of the year? It's selfishness, and I don't want people to acknowledge my presence in their lives for only a day. Right, I was born on this day, and for that, I will always be thankful to my mom, and it has to be her day to celebrate, not mine because she fought to death on that day. And if people don't understand this pain and celebrate her victory of coming back alive, I can't do all the celebration when the whole reason I'm here today was because of her and her only."
I was left shocked by her revelation and didn't know what to say. She actually had a point, and that day she made me feel and see a new way of seeing things in life. But then I couldn't help it; I wanted to celebrate her birthday so badly and make her the happiest and most special of all for today. I have already sent a big and beautiful bouquet of tulips to her house so that she smiled when she saw them first thing in the morning (picture above). I loved her so much that I would find any way possible just to see her smile and be happy. By talking to her and teasing her, I got to know about things she loved to do but didn't get the chance to do until now. And also, one day I was at her place, and I saw her bucket list in her diary. I took a picture of it, and now I would make sure that she would experience and do everything on that list, starting today only. I couldn't wait to see her anymore; I was going to make her experience the best birthday of hers till now.*SARAH'S POV*
Today was my birthday, and once I woke up, I was gifted a beautiful bouquet from my one and only gorgeous boyfriend, which immediately put a big smile on my face. I was supposed to spend the day with Ryan today, as he said he had a lot of surprises for me. I already ate my breakfast and was currently deciding what I should wear. In the meantime, I called mom and talked to her for a while. I said to her that I would probably come and meet her tonight, but she said she would be busy. That was weird to me because she would always make time for me, especially for my birthday. Before I had more time to process everything, my doorbell rang. There was a parcel for me at the door, so I took it in and opened it. There was a set of clothes for me: a pair of black skinny jeans with a black crop top, a black leather jacket, and a pair of black boots. 'What the hell was going on?'
I looked inside the box, and there was a note as well. I took it out and flipped it over.
" Hey babybear, Happy birthday, love. I just want you to know that you are beautiful, and I am really lucky to have you in my life. Babe, I know this is last minute, but for the surprise ahead, you'll need to wear this. I can't wait to see you in this gorgeous. See you in an hour. I love you!"
I was smiling all the time I was reading this note. I guessed I would have to dress into this, and I wondered what he was up to. I put this on and had my hair in a ponytail. And as said, exactly after an hour, Ryan came to pick me up, and when I opened the door, he was dressed in all-black racer clothes with a black racer helmet in his left hand.
"WOAH. You're all... black!" I said, and he laughed. He actually laughed loudly.
"Happy birthday, baby!" he wished, and he gave me a kiss on my forehead.
