"YOU'RE LATE!"
"Sheesh, Bubblegum, I didn't think anyone was as loud as Howler Monkey," I said, clasping my hands over my ears.
"Bubblegum?!" she raged, glaring at me.
"Calm down, Sakura," Kakashi said, sighing.
I stuck my tongue out at her behind his back, earning a harsh glare and a death threat. I mocked being scared, snickering when her glare worsened. I glanced at Blue Jay, seeing a barely visible smirk, which only encouraged me.
"Yuki, stop trying to get her to hate you."
"I'm not, she already hated me. I'm just enjoying her hatred. Makes it so much easier to torment her."
"You are evil."
"Nope, just annoying."
I grinned when she stomped her foot in frustration. Kakashi shook his head and sighed.
"Girls, stop fighting and let me explain..."
I blinked out of a daze, looking around to see Howler Monkey, Hat head (finally thought of a nickname for him) and I were the only ones visible on the training ground. I frowned in confusion.
"Huh?"
"You weren't paying attention again, were you?" Kakashi asked, hints of amusement and irritation in his tone.
I scratched the back of my head, grinning sheepishly. "Eh heh...I saw a really pretty butterfly and got distracted," I lied, making him roll his eyes.
"Alright, I'll explain it simply since we're on a time limit. Get a bell before noon, if you don't you go without lunch and have to go back to the academy. Attack me with the full intent to kill."
I nodded, then looked at Naruto. "So why are you still in plain sight when Bubblegum and Blue Jay are hiding?"
"I'm going to fight him head on! If he can't dodge an eraser, there's no way he can beat me, believe it!"
I shook my head, patting his spiky blond hair. "Good luck with that Howler Monkey. I'll be sure to remember you when you're six feet under."
"Hey! The only one who's gonna be six feet under is him!" he shouted, making me grin.
"I like your attitude. Alright, looks like you'll be lucky enough to be my friend!"
He hesitated at that, but didn't have time to respond since I had disappeared into the trees. I wondered what to do next, watching as they began to fight. I laughed silently when Hat head shoved his fingers up Howler Monkey's butt, covering my mouth so any noise would be muffled. When Kakashi disappeared and Naruto was hanging upside down in a trap, I turned to leave. If he fell for a trap that simple minded, he deserved to be there for a while.
As I walked through the trees, I heard a terrified scream that most likely came from Bubblegum. I sighed, poor girl probably got caught in a genjutsu. I stopped walking when I heard more fighting, instantly hiding myself in a tree so I could watch what was happening. When Kakashi left, and I finally came out, I was giggling helplessly.
"Damn, you can put up a fight Blue Jay. Never expected you to get pulled under ground though."
He glared at me, his head shifting from side to side as he struggled to get out. I watched with a raised eyebrow, wanting to see if he could. After several minutes with no success, I began to think about how to get him out. Maybe I could try-- no that wouldn't work. Hmm... I frowned as I thought, tapping my chin.
Apparently I had been too deep in thought, because the next thing I knew, he had managed to climb out of the hole and was brushing the dirt off of him. I pouted at not being able to be his knight in shining armor so to speak, but I brushed it off and put on a grin.
"Need me to help you with anything?" I asked, figuring with his fighting and strategy skills we could both get a bell. I watched as he stopped what he was doing and gave me a harsh glare.
"I don't need your help, you would only slow me down."
I stared at him in shock for a moment, then began fuming with anger. "You wanna bet, Blue Jay? I think you're underestimating me."
"Am I? All you've done since you came here is act even worse than Naruto. All bark, no bite."
I snarled. "Then take me on right now. I bet I could beat you so far into the ground you wouldn't be able to get back up again."
He snorted. "As if. I'm not wasting my time on someone beneath Naruto."
I let out a rage-filled shriek, chakra suddenly surrounding me as ice seemed to grow out of the ground. Sasuke stared wide-eyed in shock, but before whatever was happening could go any further, a loud alarm rang throughout the training grounds. I calmed significantly, my chakra no longer visible and the ice melting to non-existence.
I was still seething, but I had gotten myself under control. I felt exhausted, but forced myself to walk past Sasuke and to where the incessant ringing was coming from.
