****IKALAWANG LIBRO - DALAWANG KABANATA****

   For the past forty-eight hours, dalawang tao na agad ang nakaka-alam ng sikreto nila ni Elijah.

   Una, si Xavier, but Xavier is an idiot and he's acceptable because Xavier was his best friend and he knows he would never snitch on him. But Mico? Can he trust him? Even though his Xavier's half-brother he is still technically a stranger.

   Sitting on the other side was Mico and Xavier, and the way this Mico guy stares at Elijah gives him the urge to jab him on the face. Why does he stare at Elijah like Elijah was a deity or something?

   Elijah moved closer to Kokoy and slightly hid himself at Kokoy's back from Mico's obvious stares.

   Kokoy crossed his arms and said, "Xavier, can you tell your brother to stop ogling."

   Napa-ubo si Xavier at bahagyang siniko ang katabi. "You're scaring the kid, Mico."

   "I'm..." Mico tried to divert his eyes on something else. "I'm just... I'm just really shook."

   "Sorry about that, Mico is a fiction book writer. That's why he tends to really get fascinated with..." hinimas-himas niya sa likod ang katabi, "Unusual things. I apologies on his behalf, Elijah..." tumango siya sa bata.

   Tinabig naman ni Mico ang kamay niya sa likod, "You don't have to massage me like that. May kasalanan ka pa din sa akin, bakit mo pinapaupa itong bahay na hindi alam nila mama?" Lipat niya ng tingin sa gilid.

   Napakamot sa ulo si Xavier, "As you can see, my friend here needs my help, they needed a safe roof to stay in until Kokoy figured things out because you know – Elijah is not exactly... Human... So, since I am a good friend who will help anyone who's in need, I offered them this house. Not for free though, Kokoy will pay us, its business, we can still compensate something out of their misery..." He explained trying to sound like he makes sense.

   "Ahhh..." Napatango-tango naman si Mico, He have always though that Xavier has a brain size of a chicken, but it seems like it developed an inch now he started doing marketing. Not bad for a Neanderthal.

   "Yeah..." Xavier grin, finally starting coaxing Mico to agree.

   "So, if I'm going to use one room, and they're going to use the other two rooms, where are you going to sleep then?"

   Nawala ang ngiti sa mga labi niya, "Oo nga no?" Siya na nga ang nag-magandang loob na patirahin sila dito, siya pa ang mawawalan ng kwarto? Napatingin siya kay Kokoy, "Both of you can share a room, since you were siblings."

   Nanlaki naman ang mga mata ni Kokoy, "What?! I have paid you buckets and you want me to share room? And we are not siblings!"

   "Hindi kayo magkapatid?" Takang tanong naman ni Mico. "Akala ko ba magkapatid kayo?!"

   Xavier and Kokoy stopped arguing.

   "We're..." Kokoy started, "We are not brothers."

   "Huh? Then why are you with him?" Turo ni Mico kay Elijah who's now confuse of what's going on.

   "These adults are weird..." The hybrid thought to himself. Kanina-kanina lang nagtatalo itong mga ito then ngayon malumanay na ulit sila magsalita.

   Xavier faked-cough on the side.

   "Actually, hindi talaga sila magkapatid..." Xavier paused, "They're lovers..." tumango-tango pa siya for effects.

   "Whe...?" Lalong na-confuse si Mico his face contortioned into zig-zag.

   Kokoy groaned in frustration at napatapik na naman sa noo.

   Elijah stayed sitting there, thinking, "Adults are really weird..."
