Note: as what I have said on my other story, I'm currently concentrating looking for a job right now, someone has to eat and pay the bills, my updates will be as slow as a sloth.

Apologies for the super late updates. Again, hoping everyone who are reading this are all well, not just physically, but also mentally healthy.

****IKA-SIYAM NA KABANATA****

Kokoy spent the day at the captain's deck the whole afternoon. He was able to transfer the hybrid inside his cage without getting notice by his men and Xavier after he had feed the kid. It didn't even get him a sweat when in fact Gaspar's men were the best men out there.

They are almost in Manila at kalahating minuto na lang at dadaong na sila. Nakausap nya din si Gaspar but Gaspar won't tell him everything. Who is he to know when he's just a hand-man, though he has a hunch already... He wouldn't disclose it on the phone because he knows it'd be dangerous. But he really needed to know. So, here he was, trying to call him again.

A few rings before Gaspar answered his phone

    "Sir..." Tawag nya dito.

"How was the parcel?" The old man asked.

    "Good condition, Sir."

"I know why you called." He said with a tone that he had just heard now. He sounded worried. Malayo sa Gaspar na kilala ng madami.

To say Kokoy was stressed was understatement though, he lit a cigarette had a few puffs before stating his question. "So, Sir... What are your plans, huh...?"

"Kokoy... Your principles mystified me. I know you already know my secret... But as much as I want to discuss it with you here on the phone, I'd rather tell it to you face to face."

He gripped his phone tighter and looked around, checking if there are people that could fry on him. The vessel was moving solemnly despite the rough waves hitting it. "We're almost in Manila, Sir."

"I'll see you on the mansion." Yun lang and Gaspar ended the call.

Manila

Gaspar sighed and stood from his office chair, running his hands through his black hair down his face. Groaning he walked to his bar counter and pulled out a bottle of whiskey from one of the higher cabinets, walking to the fridge, he opened the door and grabbed the ice cube tray. He poured himself a glass of whiskey then walked back to his office chair. Someone knocked on his door.

"Get in..." He commanded in a baritone voice. He watches as Kokoy walk through the red carpeted floor and stopped until he's in front of him. His ferocious eyes never leaving him. He could see his chest breathing stagnantly. Like he was waiting for him to throw the bomb. He looks mad. He knows.

Tinugga nya ang baso ng whiskey "What do wanna know, kid?"

"What did you do to him? he's just a child!" his voice laced with acid; he was judging him.

Nagsalin ulit sya ng whiskey sa baso. "Do you want some?" Alok nya dito.

Tumawa ito ng pagak, "Tsk, I didn't know that you are this heartless." His hand gesturing in a fist. Like he wants to punch him on the face. He would give it to him, the kid has some guts.

"That's what I like about you, Koy... You're still capable of empathy despite of all the things that you have done." He drank the glass of whiskey, then continued. "Well, I've always known your nature. I'm not surprised"

"Hindi mo pa din sinasagot ang tanong ko." Giit nito dahil pakiramdam ng binata ay nililihis na nya ang dapat na pag-usapan nila.

"Bakit ka ba nagmamadali?" He poured the whiskey on his glass and stand up. Iniabot nya dito ang baso and Kokoy didn't know of he'll take it or not.

He grabbed the drink he was offering and gulped it in a second at ibinaba ang baso sa lamesa nito. "Will you tell me now?"

Gaspar gestured for Kokoy to sit down.

"You know why I choose you to take care of Elijah...?" The old man started. "It's because I know who you are Kokoy..."

"What do you mean?" Kokoy gritted his teeth. He didn't like the sound of Gaspar right now. Gaspar might know who he really was. His secret mission... This is bad. If Gaspar knows, he is sure he wouldn't let him out alive. He gritted his teeth and clench his fist again.

Gaspar laughed like a deranged maniac and pour the bottle of whiskey again on his glass.

"You know my secret, and I know yours, Ronald De Santos." He stopped then gulped his glass of alcohol, then continued. "Twenty-two, son of the late Randall De Santos, FBI deputy of the Philippines. You don't have any siblings and you live alone. That's why choose this life because you know you have nothing to lose. Undercovering... Your mission is to arrest me and stop my operations, right...? But you know it'll be really hard, para kang babangga ng metal na pader, Koy..."

Kokoy bit the back of his cheek and gulp his own saliva. He didn't like where this is going. Even if he knows Gaspar's weakness, he can't rule out the fact that Gaspar was a well-known demented psychopath. It's a mystery why Gaspar would let him take care of Elijah.

"So, you're aware of who I am..." He asked, trying to hide his anxiousness.

"Yes. And you're aware of who I am, too. Right...?" Gaspar asked back.

"Of course, I know very well, who you are, Gaspar Canlas..." He answered, not taking his eyes off the old man in front of him.
