Elisabeth's fight

chapter 28 ~Elizabeth

As Gisborne  fell the knife landed to her right and Gisborne landed to her left with bound hands she grabbed the knife and cut herself free the women outlaws saw what she was doing and started to surround  her. Until it was a tightly  knit circle around Elizabeth. She turned in circles keeping  the blade in front of  her swiping at anyone who got  close they didn't  shoot or stab her so they wanted  her alive probably to sell back to Philip and she was not going to let that happen Elizabeth  thought as she turned in circles. That's when the leader stood up  on the cart and said

          "we don't want to hurt you just put the knife down and surrender  or we will have no choice but to take it from you. Just put it down and I promise  you  will  be  fine."

           "How do I know you will keep your promises?" Elizabeth  questioned

All she got as a reply was a nod and the some of the women loaded her bows back and the rest unsheathed their swords. She turned around and looked at the scene then back at the leader. She nodded and dropping  the knife and kicking  it out of the circle. she raised her hands and when someone  stepped up to her from behind she spun punched her and started to run out of the circle. She ran into the woods twigs and brush snagging on her hair and on her dress the she heard the leader shout about going  after me and she ran faster. she heard the feet pounding behind her searching  for  where she went then she saw it a tree that she could climb so she climbed it. When she reached  a thick branch halfway  up the tree an arrow hit her in the arm and she looked  down and saw one young woman with a bow and arrow pointed  at her. The woman said

        "Nice climbing  but if you  would  please climb back down. The last shot was just a warning next shot I hit you in the head."

       

Elizabeth  new she was caught so she slowly climbed down the tree and turned around to face the woman who smiled and gestured for her to walk in front back to the cart when she reached the cart her woman who caught she told the leader about where she  was. The leader smiled. Elizabeth  was  tied   up agian but instead of out in the cart she was lead to a mare that was tied behind another she was lifted onto the saddle and her feet were tied together under the horse and the woman who captured her said

          "We do this for the escape risks so if they try  something  they end up hanging  upside down." With that she hopped on the horse that led hers and pushed her horse into a trot.

Two hours later

They finally stopped at a camp. There were some tents but there also was caves. She was bleeding  badly and was starting  to  feel wobbly. All they had done for her was pull the arrow out. They lead her Robin  Will and John to the smallest  cave. She her feet were shackled with iron cuffs to the cave wall and everyone else  had their hands shackled. John said something  to  her but she didn't  hear him she collapsed hitting  the stone floor with a thud.
