15-year-old Alexandra 'Lexi' DeLaCruz-DeLesco has had a not so pleasant life- to say the least. She was abused by her foster 'parents' until they got arrested for drug dealing.
Now, she finds out that she has two sets of six half brothers, sharing...
The two cars pulled up to the entrance of the fair. The DeLescos and Lexi were in one car and the DeLaCruzs were in the other. Lexi was bouncing in her seat like an excited little child, her eyes gleaming with joy.
The cars pulled up outside the fair and Lexi quickly unbuckled the seatbelt and bounded out of the car. She felt light and free- something she hadn't felt in a long time.
"Lex, slow down!" Hayden laughed lightly, gently pulling Lexi back before she ran off.
Lexi huffed, but didn't try to escape his grasp. The thirteen of them entered the fair and her brothers chuckled at Lexi's boundless energy.
The fair was filled with people and noise. A comforting smell of food washed over the place and little children shouting in excitement could be heard.
"Can we get some candy floss- please?" Lexi asked.
Flynn smiled, "course we can."
Lexi's POV:
Flynn and Tony went to a stand and bought all of us blue and pink candy floss. I ate mine while looking around the fair with eager eyes. I remembered how me and the gang used to go to fairs quite often. However, we got kicked out of the last one since West stole a teddy bear for a dare.
"Lexi?" Speak of the devil and he shall arrive.
Slowly, I turned around. Xavier, Diana, West and Savannah were looking at me in shock.
"Hi guys," I whispered.
"Who are they?" Sam asked curiously. Oops, I'd forgotten my brothers were here.
"Um, old gang, meet my brothers. Brothers, meet my old gang," I introduced and they eyes each other warily.
"We've missed you Lexi," West said hoarsely.
"I've missed you guys too," I replied, "and I'm sorry, but my answer hasn't changed." The fairground noises seemed far away.
"Come back to us, Alex," Diana said. I almost sobbed at the old nickname.
"I can't," I made my voice hard and cold, "goodbye. I think- I think it would be best if we didn't see each other anymore," I heard them inhale sharply, but I didn't waver, "come on," I said to my brothers, walking away from my friends. I didn't look back.

Around an hour later, we were hanging around one of the stalls. Ryan and Hayden were entertaining me with embarrassing stories about the others. I was doubled over with laugher by the end of it, tears streaming down my face.
When I looked up, I saw Jackson, "Jackson!" I called out, waving and walking to him.
"Lexi!" He cried back, giving me a quick hug, "nice to see you, how are you?"
"Just hanging out with my brothers on my birthday," I grinned.
Jackson punched my arm, "why didn't you tell me it was your birthday? I'd have gotten you something!"
"To be honest, I completely forgot until yesterday," I admitted. I noticed a girl standing next to him. She had long blonde hair and bright blue eyes, "and you are...?"
"I'm Maddie," she waved, smiling brightly, "I'm friends with this idiot."
"And I'm Dean," a boy seemed to magically appear from behind Maddie. He had slightly long black hair and dark brown eyes.
"I'm Alexandra, call me Lexi," I grinned and shook both of their hands.
"Who are they?" Maddie indicated behind me.
"My brothers," I gave a quick intro.
"Dean and Maddie are transferring to our school tomorrow," Jackson said.
We continued talking for a bit before exchanging numbers and parting.
"Where to next?" Kyle asked.
I turned and started walking backwards, "I don't know... hey, thanks for today."
"Least we could do," Sam grinned, "you're our sister."
I opened my mouth to respond when I crashed into a wall.
"Oh my gosh, are you okay?" A familiar voice asked.
My breath caught in my throat and I slowly turned around.
"Ace."
(I was going to leave it here, but I decided to be nice and continue. You're welcome.)
Ace's POV:
"Yeah... how do you know my name?" I asked the girl. She had brown hair and blue eyes and was looking at me like I was lost treasure. However, the smile faded from her face when I asked her that.
"You don't remember me?" She asked, her voice cracking slightly. For some reason, it broke my heart to hear that. But why would I feel like that for her?
"No, I'm sorry." I responded.
The girl abruptly stood up and brushed herself off. I saw tears gleam in her eyes, but she blinked them away, "oh, sorry, I thought you were someone else," she looked at the twelve boys who were gazing at her curiously, "come on, let's go."
As she turned around, a piece of paper fell from her pocket. I picked it up, "hey wait, you dropped-" but she was already gone.
"Hey, Ace, can we go home?" My stepbrother- Dean- came up to me.
"Yeah, sure," I felt an incredibly weird feeling, like I knew that girl from somewhere, "hey, do you know who that girl is?"
"Yeah that's Lexi- she's a new friend of ours- hey man, what's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost," Dean scanned me worriedly.
Lexi... I frowned, that name seems so familiar... but from where?
"Don't worry," I answered, slinging an arm around his shoulder, "come on, let's go."
But I couldn't shake the feeling that I knew Lexi from somewhere.
