Levi's POV:
My head pounded and my mouth felt like it was stuffed with cotton. I groaned softly, sitting up slowly and examining my stomach. It was now covered with white bandages and hurt like hell.
I surveyed my surroundings. I was in one of the sick rooms- one with Baker Miller Pink walls and a sterile white bed. I got up and padded across the wooden floor and opened the door.
"You're up!" I stumbled back in surprise as Luke seemed to appear out of nowhere, "how do you feel?"
"Terrible but quite energised," I answered, "considering I'd almost drowned."
His eyes softened, "we thought we lost you... Ace and Ryan jumped in without a second's thought; they managed to pull you out. But you weren't breathing and had no pulse..." he trailed off and gulped audibly, looking down and blinking back tears, "I just managed to resuscitate you. You've been out for hours."
Tentatively, I stepped forward and hugged him, "thank you," I whispered. He tensed for a moment, before returning it.
"Come on," he said, pulling back, "now you're awake, the others will finally stop pestering me about your health."
I smiled and followed him to the kitchen. Hayden was burning the food, Ryan was trying to help him redeem it and the rest of my brothers were either laughing or talking.
"Sleeping beauty awakes!" Ace cried loudly upon seeing me. He quickly got up and stood in front of me, asking if I was okay.
"I'm fine," I replied, grabbing my phone off the kitchen counter. I opened up my messages snd saw I had quite a few from the group chat with Jackson, Maddie and Dean.
Caffeine and Power Naps
Me:
Hey
Jackson:
Hey where were you today? All ok?
Maddie:
LEXIII! Where have you been?
Dean:
Are you dead?
Me:
Yeah I died and this is my ghost texting
Dean:
Oh
Hi Lexi's ghost
Jackson:
😂 seriously tho, where were you?
Me:
Went on an outing with my long lost best friend and my brothers and almost drowned
Maddie:
OMG!!! Are you okay??
Jackson:
all okay?
Dean:
Did you die?
Me:
Oh my Lord NO Dean I didn't die
And yeah I'm ok thx
Can someone bring me the homework?
Jackson:
Sure I'll come by your house later and give it to you
Also we're doing a project for science and we're partners for that
Me:

Maddie:
