AN: here's chapter 24. Enjoy, people.

Third person's POV: (two weeks later)

It had been two weeks since Lexi was kidnapped and the DeLesco and DeLaCruz brothers were going mad. They cashed in every favour that was was owed to them. But it was all in vain- all leads ended in a dead end.

Ace went ballistic when he found out. First, he started destroying pretty much anything in sight. Then, he started believing that it was his fault and refused to leave his room for three days. And finally, he began plotting revenge and trying to track Lexi down. He called many people and begged/threatened them to help him. He and Lexi's brothers spent pretty much every waking hour trying to find her- so much so he practically moved in.

Today, he decided to call Xavier.

The phone rang for a bit and it turned out to be Savannah who picked up.

"Hello?" She asked.

"Sav?" Ace's voice was slightly choked. During his temporary memory wipe, he'd forgotten about his past friends as well.

"Ace? Oh my gosh it's been so long! How have you been?" Her voice cried excitedly.

"I've- I've been better." He admitted. "Lexi... Lexi's been kidnapped- hello?"

A few minutes later, the door came flying off its hinges and a very angry, very pregnant woman stormed in.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE'S BEEN KIDNAPPED?!" Savannah boomed, her eyes filled with rage.

"How did you get here so fast?" Ace gaped.

Savannah shrugged. "I was on my way here anyways and ran a red light or... six."

Ace raised an eyebrow. "Why-?"

"MY BEST FRIEND HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED ACE!" Savannah suddenly screamed. "I DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT A TICKET!"

"Does West know you're here?" Ace asked, realising too late that this was the wrong thing to say.

Her eyes flashed dangerously. "Why should be know, huh? Because I'm some fragile pregnant woman who needs babysitting? This theory has been instilled in the patriarchal system we disguise as society. It's the type of misogynistic behaviour I expected from other men, Ace, but not you. I guess it's true what they say time changes people." She took a deep breath. "Tell me, Ace, do I look weak and fragile to you?" She punctuated each word of the last sentence with a poke to his chest.

The younger boy cowered back in fear. He'd always known that Savannah was a little bit... eccentric but this was a whole new level.

"Uh... no, I- I definitely don't think that you are weak or fragile." He stammered. "Um... Lexi's brothers are in the study- shall we go there?"

"Yes." She bowed sarcastically. "Lead the way!"

At first, the DeLesco and DeLaCruz brothers presumed Savannah to be a soft-spoken, shy woman. They couldn't fathom how Ace could be so down-right terrified of her and acted as if he was walking on eggshells when around her.

They couldn't be more wrong.

"Come on, Ace," William mumbled. "You can't be serious! She'll only slow us down."

"But there is nothing wrong with my hearing." Savannah snapped. "Boy, if you have something to say, grow a pair and say it to my face." Her glare was full of ice and all the men shuddered.

"Now," a slow, sickly sweet smile stretched over her face. "Does anyone else have any questions about my work ethic? The floor is yours and I'd be glad to answer any queries." She took out a knife and began toying with it. The men stayed silence. "Nothing? Good. Let's continue then, shall we?"

The doorbell rang and Kyle practically tripped over his feet to go answer it. In came Xavier, West and Diana flanked by more people.

"Uhhh sorry, but who are you all?" Kyle asked, not opening the door completely to the large crowd.

"We," Xavier gestured to him, West and Diana, "are friends of Lexi. The others are people Lexi has helped in the past- they came once they heard about her."

"Um, well, come in then?" Kyle opened the door wider and the flood of people came in. They thundered up the stairs and into the study, which started to become cramped due to the large amount of people in it.

"Kyle?" Flynn asked. "Who are these people and why are they here?"

"Friends of Lexi- they want to help with the search." He explained, practically squished in the corner.

"Damn right we do." Diana snarled, her dark eyes flashing. "And we won't stop until we find those f**kers." She took out her knife and threw it at the wall. It narrowly missed Ryan and embedded deeply in the plaster.

"Well," Antonio declared, a cruel smirk playing on his lips. "Let's get started then."
