Calm Waters

The Water is still.
I see myself in her mirror.
It's so easy to throw a stone into it,
Standing here on this pier.
Cause it to ripple.
But I savour this moment - undisturbed
Until I swandive beneath the surface -
Cool and hollow without Her searing touch .
And I see it for the first time...
The ocean blue lines around the midnight silhouette.
When you aren't drowning
There's a whole new world out there.
Beautiful.
Serendipity.
