Something so divine (Jake enhypen)

It was just a usual early morning. Jake was awake and in front of Nari's door about to knock. He would wake up early just to have a walk in the park with Nari and Joy. This is a new habit Jake has made to spend more time with the two.

'Morning neighbor!' Jake said as Nari opened the door. Just as he finished his sentence Joy came running and jumped on him out of excitement making the latter giggle. Nari just looked at the two with a big smile plastered on her face. She loved the sweet relationship the two boys had. 'Morning Jake!' Nari said smiling. 'Joy come on! Let Jake go and let's go outside!' Nari said with excitement in her voice after locking the door. Joy did as told and ran up to Nari.

The three were now outside walking to the nearest park. 'When will I read your story?' Jake said excitedly. 'Who said you were going to read it?' Nari said teasingly. Jake pouted. 'I thought we were friends!' He whined like a child. This made Nari laugh. 'You're a big baby Jake.' The girl said and Jake rolled his eyes playfully. 'I was just joking. You'll read it once it's finished. Okay?''Okaaay.' Jake exclaimed. But his smile vanished after just a second.

He started staring in one direction completely ignoring the talking Nari. Nari noticed soon and followed his gaze just to see a couple in a distance being all lovey-dovey. The girl snapped her fingers in front of Jake's face that made him come back to his senses and look at Nari.'You okay?' She asked. 'Yeah, yeah...Sorry, you were saying?' 'Someone you know?' Nari said pointing with her gaze to the couple Jake was glaring at. Jake sighed, looked at the couple then back to the girl next to him. 'She's an ex.' 'Oh, OOH. Want to talk about it? She seems to still affect you.' 'She just...how about we sit this is a long one.' The boy suggested. Jake went and sat down while Nari freed Joy so he could run around but Joy followed his owner to the bench Jake was sitting on. Joy sat down in front of the boy and looked at him with sweet sad eyes. Nari sat down next to Jake and gave him a small sad encouraging smile urging him to start his story.

'Aera was my first love. We met during the first year of college. I fell in love the first time she smiled at me. We started as friends and I fought my way to her heart. She rejected me the first time I confessed saying that she likes her best friend - Yeonjun - the guy there with her.' Jake said looking back to the now walking away couple.

'But then he started dating this other girl and Aera decided to move on and after a year I confessed again. This time she accepted me and our story began. I loved her so dearly and she seemed to do the same. We were not perfect but we were happy. I gave my everything to her and I thought she did the same. After a couple of years of dating, I asked for her hand and she accepted it. She became my fiancé and I was on cloud nine. We moved in together and decided to collect the money for our wedding ourselves and not ask our parents. God...' Jake stopped to wipe away the tears coming down his cheeks. Nari hugged him and started drawing circles on his back with the palm of her hand. Jake placed his head in the crook of her neck and continued telling his tragic romance.

'I worked my a** off to marry her as fast as I could and I thought she was doing the same but she was staying after work at the office to spend time with him. He came back after years. She didn't hide him from me but she always told me not to worry about him. She said she didn't have any feelings for him that she loved me and only me. I was so stupid to believe her.' 'Don't call yourself stupid. You should put your trust into the one you love if they break that trust THEY are the stupid ones, not you.' Nari said with a soft tone. Jake broke the hug and looked at her with his now puffy eyes. Nari gave him a small smile again.

'Still, I was wrong to trust her. She one day asked me to have lunch with her during which she gave me back the ring I gave her and told me she realized she didn't love me that way and that she was confused. I somehow managed to work that day and then went home to find out she got all of her stuff and left. I sold the house and moved out to start anew, but it's hard considering I see them on daily basis. It hurts.' Jake finished and looked down where he saw the sweet pup putting his little paw on Jake's leg. This made Jake smile.' Joy and I are here for you.' Nari said petting Jake's back. He looked at her and smiled again. 'This walks with you guys take my mind off of things. Thank you.' Jake said softly.' Nope, thank YOU for keeping us company.' Nari said with a wide smile.
