The 70th Hunger Games

CHAPTER 6

I walked away from the table and looked back at Cyrus he was watching me as I walked down the hallway into my room. I walked into my room and shut and locked the door. I sat on the bed and put my hands on my face, I was so tired and ready for this day to be over. I decided to go take a shower and go to bed. I walked into the bathroom in my room, it was beautiful. It was marble everything. I walked over to the shower and cut the water on I put my hand under the water as it came down. For the first time since I was picked to enter the games I felt, safe almost. I moved my hand from the water and thought no, I'll never be safe again. I cut the water off and decided I would just change and go to bed. After I changed I pulled back the covers on the beautiful big bed, I just stood their looking at it. I climbed in bed, turned off the lights and just layed their thinking. I had been laying here for about an half hour now and I decided to go get a drink of water. I walked out of my room, up the big hallway, I came up to the dinning room, right when I was about to walk in I heard two people talking. I stopped walking and hide at a wall at the dinning room I listened  as the two people talked. "Why did you volunteer" one voice said, there was a pause and the other person said "to protect her" I knew who that was, it was Cyrus. He said "I knew when they called her name I had to volunteer, I couldn't just let her..." The man said "whats gonna happen in the arena" Cyrus said "I'm going to do whatever it takes to protect her" the man said "well talk about training in the morning" Cyrus said "thank you Haymitch" I had tears in my eyes and I walked back to my room, got in the bed and just cried, after a while I finally just went to sleep.
