We waited a while for everyone to get checked in and then a strang woman with lime green, puffy hair came up she said "welcome, welcome, to the 70th hunger games, and may the odds be ever in your favor" this woman was new, the last one had pink straight hair. No matter if the person was new or not they would say the same thing every year and show the same video every year. The woman pointed toward the big screen and it started off the same way every year "war, terrible war" I kinda zoned out after that. I hated this so much, no one hated this more than me. There was so many people here I thought, its not going to be me, or Katniss. The movie went off and the woman said "well, as usual ladies first" my heart was pounding out of my chest, I just prayed that it wouldn't be Katniss. The woman walked over to the big bowl of names, stirred her hand around in the bowl and pulled out a name she walked back to the microphone. She unfolded the name and said "Autumn Everdeen" I froze and everyone looked at me. The peace keepers walked up and I walked out. They slowly walked me up to the stage, and I walked up next to the woman. A tear rolled down my face and the woman said "congratulations dear, you will be representing district 12 in the 70th hunger games. The woman patted my back and said "now for the boys" she walked over to the other big bowl of names for the boys I felt like I was in a different world I looked down in the front row and saw Katniss crying. The woman pulled out a name and walked back over to the microphone and unwrapped the name. She started to say the name but a voice yelled in the distance and said "I volunteer" I looked out and seen Cyrus walking out with the peace keepers and the woman said "oh very well then come up young man. He came up on the stage and the woman said "what's your name young man" he said "Cyrus Mackavoy" I looked at him in shock. She said "well go on you two, shake hands" she moved out of the way and I just looked at him and she said "well shake hands" he put his hand out and so did I, and we shacked hands.
