CHAPTER 4

After we shook hands the woman took us to separate rooms. She took Cyrus to his room first and then we came to my room. I said "where are we going" she said "your going to wait here and say your goodbyes to your family" she opened up the double doors in my room and said "your family will be here shortly" and she shut the doors. I went to the window and put my hands on the glass and started to think about everything, Katniss, Prim, Cyrus, Mom, and even my Dad. I started to think how I would never see Katniss or Prim again. I also started to think why did Cyrus volunteer, I am so upset with him. A tear rolled down my face and my hands slid down the window. The double doors opened and Katniss and Prim walked in, I hugged both of them and Katniss said "you promised" I stopped hugging them and got on my knees and looked at Katniss and said "everything's going to be okay" she was crying and said "don't lie Autumn" I was trying to hold back my tears and said "I'm not, I'm not" I looked at Prim and hugged her and she said "where are you going" I stopped hugging her and looked at Katniss and said "I'll be back soon Prim, don't worry" the double doors opened again and my mother walked in. I stood up and she came over to me and I gave her a hug. The double doors opened and peace keepers came in and said "times up" Katniss and Prim ran over to me and hugged me. I said "I'll be back Katniss, I promise" the peace keepers took them out and shut the double doors. I started to cry and the woman came in and said "ready to go dear" I looked at her and she said "come, come" I walked out and she had Cyrus with her he didn't say anything to me he just looked at me. The woman walked us outside to a car and we got in it. While we were in the car I could not stop thinking of Katniss, I knew that was the last time I would see her. The woman said "oh excuse me, I don't think I properly introduced myself, you can call me Effie" Effie was sitting in the middle of me and Cyrus and I looked over at him and he looked at me. I just started at him, and then the car stopped and I looked out my window and saw this big silver train. Effie said "well you two, are you ready to head to the Capital" I looked at her and stepped out of the car.
