***** By the way, this story will be based on the content of the game of the Xbox 360 version. For that, it's the only version that I've played. Yeah, yeah, I know, PC THE MASTER RACE! Whatever I know...So just for future references, if I miss anything, then you know why. I haven't seen it yet....so yeah.....*****
Steven Cubex was a normal sort of guy. He lived a normal life with his normal wife, Sarah Cubex. Steven never really liked his name so he just preferred to be called Steve.
Steve didn't have any outstanding characteristics. He was at a normal height for a 25 year old man. He was an average built too and he wasn't very muscular either, but he could hold his own if need be. That being, he was in a fight but even though he didn't know it, Steven would be just fine. Besides that, he had a strong imagination which helped him with his job as a construction worker. He loved to build things. Even make small little trinkets and gadgets in his garage during his free time. His wife would always tell him that he was obsessed with building things, but he would just retort saying that one day, his creations would save his life. She would just scoff and walk away. Even with Sarah's dislike of Steve's building habits, they lived a happy life together. Today was their third year anniversary, and Steve had bought the two of them tickets to a cruise to the Caribbean Sea.
"Isn't this great Steven?" Sarah asked spinning happily in her almost floor length light blue dress. "The vast sea, the sweet smells of the water," she inhales deeply, "It's wonderful. I'm so happy you did this honey."
"Of course my beautiful wife. Only the best for you," Steve said after planting a kiss on his wife's lips. "It is great isn't it?"
They spent most of their days soaking up the sun, talking about there past and future together. They even talked about having children. Steve wasn't so hot towards the idea but the more Sarah talked about it, the more the idea grew on him. They talked until the day came close to a close and soon there was going to be dance party on the deck of the ship, but it was sadly canceled due to bad whether that was swiftly approaching. They were in their room laying together in their bed.
"Well, this was really fun while it lasted," Sarah said. "You'd think they would plan this a bit better so this wouldn't happen."
"Oh you can never know with these kind of things. They probably did, but....this storm did come out of nowhere, huh?" Steve said looking out of the window which gave a great view of the darkening waters. He watched the moon's wavering reflection glimmer off of it. "I'm going up to the deck to check things out. It isn't raining, wanna come with?"
"Sure, let's go."
The couple then walked down the long hallway, up the stairs, and to a metal door which lead out onto the deck. They walked over to an edge and grab hold of the railing so they didn't fall off the rocking ship. The bow of the ship hit a large wave, a large wave crashed into the side, sending up a mist of salty water that rained down upon them and other onlookers.
"I thought this was gonna be scary but it's actually pretty fun! Hahaha!" Sarah said laughing.
"Right? Haha!" Steve replied laughing along with his wife.
After a few minutes, there was an ear shattering boom that caused a shock wave along the water and when it hit the ship, it rocked the ship so hard that it made Steve, Sarah, and the other onlookers fall back onto the wet deck floor. They got back up onto their feet and a few more passengers joined the group on the deck. All of them wondering where the strange noise had originated from. Even some of the crew members had come out to see what was going on, even the Captain had step out to see what was happening. Everyone was crowding around the Captain, his crew along with his passengers, all asking him questions. Some of them though (including Steve and Sarah) were looking around for the source of the 'boom'. Something on fire, a mushroom cloud. Anything. Then someone started pointing at something in the dark and stormy sky. Everyone looked towards the direction the man was pointing and everyone could see what looked like part of the clouds separating and giving off an eerie purple glow. It started to widen more and more then something started coming out of it. It was huge. It had wings with the span of an entire football, bleachers included. It had a long tail. The creature's entire body was jet black but it's eyes were a bright violet purple. It's body looked to be covered in scales and as it flew through the sky, more of the purple glow emitted off it's body as if the sky was full of it and the creature was cutting through it releasing the vibrant color.
