The next morning, our heroes, Steve and Paige arouse from there slumber, gathered there things, mounted there horses and rode towards the Witch's mountain with the cheers and hurrahs from the village folk. Deckard and the rest of the village folk gave the two some extra supplies. Food and some spare leather armor. They weren't in the best condition but neither of them said anything. They just thanked the village folk and put on the armor. The mountain was far away. It was going to take them all day to get to the bottom of the mountain. Let alone the climb all the way up to the Witch's lair.
"Steve." Paige said.
"Hm?" Steve hummed.
"Are you sure this is something we can actually do? I know I've said it before but we don't know how Witch's fight. Or if they even fight. Maybe they summon monster to help them fight. Maybe they use magic and will burst us into flames. Or maybe they use special poisons, put them in bottles and throw them at us!"
"What's wrong with you?" Steve asked with a very condescending voice.
"What?"
"You used to be really harsh and extreme. Now when Witches get thrown into the mix you're acting like a scardey cat. What's wrong with you?"
"It's because of these Witches Steve. I've never fought them before. This is new to me. I'm used to just fighting Zombies, Skeletons, Spiders, and occasionally even Creepers. But this Witch nonsense. I didn't even know they even existed."
"So what? All of this is new to me. This world. This way of life. All these freaky monsters. What I'm used to is sitting at home, on my comfy couch, with my beautiful wife Sarah and watching scary movies with her. That's what I'm used too but now that I'm here, this is what I have to get used to. I have a mission to do and it's kill the Ender Dragon and if I'm lucky, get my wife back! Until then, people need help and I won't just be selfish and just walk away. I'll help these people and then we're going straight to Castle Mojang. So I know you're having problems right now, but I think my problems are a bit more extreme then yours!"
"....I'm sorry...."
Steve sighs. "No...I'm sorry. I shouldn't have snapped at you like that. I'm in a lot of stress right now. We both are. I don't know what I've gotten us into. Like you said, we don't know what these Witches are capable of. But it's too late now. We said we will help so we have to help. Also we ate Stephan's daughter's cookies. You don't just a kid's cookie with a promise and break that promise."
Paige laughs. "Yeah, you right. I'm sorry. I'll try to calm down."
A few hours pass and they reach a small river. They stop to let there horses drink some water. The duo also got some food in there bellies. Once full, they got back on there horses and continued onwards to the mountain. They spot some Creepers but kept on there way. Riding right pass them.
"Hey Paige, you know that I have a wife. Do you have anyone that you...you know.... You got a boyfriend or something? Maybe just someone you like?" Steve asked.
Paige's head shoots up with a blush. "Huh? W-W-What did you say?"
"I was asking if there's anyone that you like? Or if you're in a relationship."
"I uhhh....n-no one specifically.... I don't have a boyfriend. Why do you want to know?"
"No reason. It's still a long ride until we get to the mountain. Just wanted to waste some time."
"Oh well...No, I don't have a boyfriend..."
There's a long pause.
"Girlfriend?" Steve asked shyly.
