Chapter 10: Witch's Brew

Steve and Paige have been traveling for a few hours now on horseback. Traversed through the dense forest and grasslands. Not a care in the world. Just the warmness of the sun on there heads and a steady cool breeze flowing past them. Steve feeling more determined then ever to find more about this legend of the Ender Dragon. A chance to rescue his wife and maybe, everyone else who has fallen victim to the monster. He's not sure how it all makes sense, because it doesn't to him. All those people including his wife Sarah died. He saw this happen. Other people from Blake's village can attest to the same thing. Watching the Ender Dragon swoop down and kill there friends and loved ones. So how could they be brought back? Steve thought hard and the only conclusion that he could think of was to wait and safely make it to Castle Mojang, ask the 6 Kings for entry of there royal Archives and find the truth. Paige wasn't fully invested in this journey. Being dragged into going somewhere she had no reason to go to. But something about Steve's drive that somehow changed that. She can look over and see the determined look he has on his face. So serious. It's a little creepy she thought. She's never seen anyone so focused on one goal. She's heard stories about the 6 Kings. 6 men with great power and different ideologies. Which means that they usually butt heads. The King of Laughter Gavin, The King of Defense Michael, The King of Flora Ray, The King of Foundation Jack, The King of Fauna Ryan, and then the King of Order Geoff. They have all had many different names. But they as of recent days, is what the realm call them. The day was coming to an end and Paige was actually the one to pursued Steve to stop so they could build shelter for the night. Once Steve agreed, he dismounted his house and opened up the Inventory on his Toolbar. He scrolled through all his items and took out some wooden blocks which he used to build them a small and basic home. He finished with a door coming in and out of the house and furnished it with two beds and that's all. Steve even put a little torch on the outside to add a little 'flare'. Paige punched him for his dumb joke. They now lay on the bed trying to get some sleep. Paige's wolf slept at the edge of her bed. Neither Steve and Paige could sleep though. Not for any particular reason really. Paige was the first one to break the silence.

"Steve. Hey Steve are you awake?" Paige asked him.

"Huh? Oh yeah. What's up?" Steve responded. He was actually the only one almost about to drift asleep.

"I couldn't sleep so I was thinking we could just....I don't know...talk? Before we eventually just fall asleep."

Steve yawns. "Okay. What do you wanna talk about?"

"Well....I don't know...Umm....Oh! Um. I like the house." Paige finally said.

Steve couldn't help but make a little chuckle at Paige's comment.

"What?" Paige asked agitated.

"Oh, hehe, it's nothing. I'm glad you like it. It wasn't much for what supplies Blake gave us." Steve said trying to hold back any last giggles that may come out.

"Uh huh....Either way...It's small but it's nice. Nice and small. Nice and cozy."

"Okay, I get it. You like it nice and small." Steve said with a smile and a small chuckle. Steve thought her commenting on the size of the house over and over again for some reason made Steve laughed. He thought it was a little weird but just literally laughed it away. Paige saw his grin and immediately blushed and threw one of her boots at him hitting his head.

"Ow! What the hell?" Steve asked holding his head where the boot connected.

"You know what! Saying such dirty things like that! What are you thinking?" Paige shouted showing Steve her fist. Still blushing a beet red.

"What the hell are talking abou-" Then it ticked. He was looking around the room at first but when he knew what she meant he looked at her with a face with a mix of astonishment and disbelief. "Are you serious?"
