Michael and Luke were set on spoiling Ashton, anything he just happened to look at for more than just a few seconds he ended up getting, even if he told them they were spending too much on him. They bought him a lot more than just clothes as well, he even got decorations to hang up in the room he's staying in. They also brought him a sketchbook and really good, expensive art supplies because he wanted them, he didn't know why but he did.

"Do you want help putting your things away?" Luke asked Ashton as they carried the bags inside.

"Yes please." Ashton said.

"I'm going to put Calum down then I have some work to attend to." Michael said to Luke.

"Okay. I'll be helping Ashton put his things away." Luke said back.

"Okay. I love you." Michael said walking down the hall.

"I love you too." Luke called after him, he would've said it Calum as well but he'd fallen asleep.

Ashton carried some of the bags to his room, Luke close behind with the rest.

"Sorry if this comes out rude but, how do you three afford all of this stuff?" Ashton asked as Luke helped him put the stuff away.

"Michael and I have good jobs." Luke said.

"Where do you work?" Ashton asked.

"We do private jobs for people." Luke said answering Ashton's question but not giving anything away.

"Okay." Ashton said.

"How do you want your fairy lights hung up?" Luke asked.

"Oh. I don't know. I didn't think about that." Ashton said.

"Then how about we put up all the other decorations and then see if you've decided. Hmm?" Luke asked.

"That seems like a good idea." Ashton said putting away the last bit of his new clothes.

They were putting up the decorations in Ashton's room, which consisted of new curtains, new bed spread, lamps, a clock, a fuzzy rug, some cute pillows, a whiteboard, a cork board, and also the fairy lights. Ashton caught sight of an old, blue, pick up truck sitting at a liquor store down the road and he just stared at it. It felt familiar to him but he didn't like the feeling it gave him, it made him feel sick to his stomach almost as if it was, or as if bad things had happened in it but he didn't know what and trying to figure it out made his brain hurt.

"Ashton?" Luke asked gently placing his hand on Ashton's shoulder.

Ashton shook his head to clear his thoughts then turned to Luke.

"Hmm?" Ashton asked.

"Are you alright? I've said your name a couple of times now." Luke said.

"Oh. Sorry. I'm fine I was just looking at that truck." Ashton said pointing out the window to it.

He turned to look at it again but it was gone, almost as if it was never there but Ashton knew it had been.

"Well it's gone now." Ashton said.

"Oh, well I was wondering if you wanted lunch." Luke said gently guiding Ashton out of the room.

"Sure." Ashton said realising how hungry he felt, even though he only ate a few hours ago he felt like he was starving.

"It looks like we have, chicken nuggets, dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets, mozzarella sticks, an empty bag of pizza rolls, cheese, or salmon. We should get groceries soon." Luke said looking in the fridge.

"Do you have any bread slices?" Ashton asked.

"We do." Luke said.

"Then can I have a grilled cheese?" Ashton asked.

"You can." Luke said getting the stuff out to make it.

Luke had just placed Ashton's sandwich and a glass of cherry kool-aid on countertop when Michael came into the kitchen holding two large black duffel bags, once was full and the other was empty.

"We've got a job, Luke." Michael said.

"But what about-"

"I called Jack, he's on his way over here." Michael said cutting Luke off.

"Okay. Ashton, Michael and I have a job to go on, my brother Jack is on his way over here." Luke explained to Ashton who looked very confused.

"What are the bags for?" Ashton asked.

"Just somethings we need for the job." Michael said opening the door as someone knocked.

Jack walked in, instantly going into the kitchen where he heard Luke.

"Ashton, this is my brother Jack, Jack, this is Ashton he's the boy from we found on the pavement." Luke said.

"He's cute." Jack said but Ashton didn't hear him.

Michael grabbed Jack's shirt and pulled him down slightly.

"Touch him and I'll rip your head off." Michael threatened quietly.

"Luke, tell Michael to behave." Jack said not at all concerned by Michael's very serious threat.

"I don't control him. And besides he wouldn't be as fun if he did behave." Luke said but he did swat Michael away from Jack.

"You know I'm serious." Michael said.

"Yeah yeah don't worry." Jack said.

"Okay, we're going now." Luke said loud enough for everyone in the kitchen to hear, Ashton included.

"Hold on there's a few rules that apply to Calum and we'd prefer if you followed them as well Ashton just so Calum doesn't throw a fit. And the rules are, no sugar after seven, no tv after eight, and showered and in bed by nine, but we should be back before then." Michael said.

"Okay." Ashton said finishing his sandwich.

"Jack, order in for dinner there's no food in the fridge, Mikey, we should pick some up on our way back." Luke said as him and Michael walked out.

Jack walked over to the island and looked at Ashton, who just stared back.

"Hi." Ashton said when Jack didn't say anything.

"Want anything else?" Jack asked.

"Can I have another grilled cheese?" Ashton asked.

Just as Jack began to make Ashton another grilled cheese, Calum could be heard crying from down the hall.

"He's fine. He just woke up." Jack said seeing the worried look on Ashton's face.

Jack disappeared for a few minutes then returned with Calum who now, instead of crying, was giggling.

"So, what do Michael and Luke do for job?" Ashton asked as Jack finished his sandwich.

"They do private jobs." Jack said.

"But what kind of jobs?" Ashton asked.

"Well, the people who hire them like to keep it secret. They're not allowed to tell." Jack said.

"Why?" Ashton asked.

"I don't know it's just, the people like it to stay hushed." Jack said.

"Okay." Ashton said but he felt like there was more to it than that.

Once Ashton was done eating, and Calum actually had been fed, Jack turned on the tv for both of them but Ashton just ended up sitting in the floor drawing, which he was pretty good at, until they had to get ready for bed. Ashton had just gotten out of the shower and was laying down in his bed when Calum came shuffling into the room.

"Tan me stays wif wou? Juss til Daddy and Dada get back?" Calum asked rubbing his eyes.

"Sure." Ashton said.

Calum quickly waddled across the room and clambered onto the big bed, with some help from Ashton, getting snuggled up beneath the covers, right next to Ashton. Ashton just laid down, careful not to hit Calum, and soon both of them were asleep.
