Luke and Michael came walking into the house around eleven-thirty that night.
"Sorry we're late, this job tended to be a more difficult than originally thought, and then we had to get groceries as well. Boys in bed?" Luke asked walking into the living room where Jack was, laying on the couch.
"Mhm. I think Cal, went into the room with Ashton by the way." Jack said half asleep.
"Want to stay the night?" Luke asked.
Jack nodded and flipped over, hiding his face in the couch cushions. Luke rolled his eyes at his older brother and walked into the kitchen to help Michael put the food away.
"Jack is staying in the night, he's asleep on the couch. Also, he said that Cal, might be in the room with Ashton." Luke said as they got everything put up.
"Alright. That's fine. I'm going to go shower." Michael said.
"I'll get Cal and move him to our room so he knows we're here. I love you." Luke said as him and Michael went opposite ways.
"I love you too." Michael said.
Michael grabbed clothes and went to take a shower while Luke went and got Calum. He quietly opened the bedroom door and silent cooed at the sight. Calum, who was sucking on a dummy, was curled up snuggled up to Ashton and Ashton had his arms lazily tossed over Calum. Luke very carefully removed Ashton's arm from Calum, after taking a picture of course, and picked up the little. Calum shifted at the movement and half opened his eyes.
"Dada?" Calum asked around the dummy in his mouth.
"Shhh. Go back to sleep, baby." Luke whispered carrying Calum out of the room.
Luke tucked Calum, who was already asleep again, into the bed then proceeded to remove his high heel boots and change into his night clothes, deciding he'd shower in the morning. Michael was walking from the bathroom to his room when he heard whimpers coming from Ashton's room. Concerned, he pushed the door open and walked in. Ashton was laying in bed, whimpering and fidgeting around obviously having a nightmare. Michael wasn't sure if this would work for Ashton but it usually works for Luke when he has nightmares, and sometimes it work for Calum as well. Michael crossed the room and gently began pushing Ashton's curls back in almost a petting type motion.
"Shhhh." Michael cooed gently.
After a few seconds Ashton calmed down and was peacefully sleeping again, but just as Michael moved his hand, Ashton's eyes opened.
"Did I wake you?" Michael asked.
"Yeah but it's okay, I was having a nightmare. At least I think it was." Ashton said sitting up.
"Want to talk about it?" Michael asked sitting on the bed in front of Ashton.
"Well I don't know what was really happening but there were things being thrown, and shouting, and I was hiding in a closet. I was small and couldn't see anything but the closet door but I could hear everything going on outside of it. I don't know it was weird but oddly, familiar? If that makes sense." Ashton said.
"Almost as if it was a memory rather than a nightmare huh?" Michael asked.
"Yeah but it makes no sense. Like I don't have all the details, like when you start watching a new movie halfway through and you don't know what's going on because you don't have all the details. It's like a puzzle with missing pieces." Ashton explained.
"Hopefully, soon you'll have all the pieces and you'll know how to put them together again. Now, it's late we should probably both go to bed." Michael said gently pushing Ashton's curls out of his way.
"I hate for you to buy me more thing but, do you think we could get my eyes checked?" Ashton asked, laying down as Michael stood up.
"For glasses? Yeah sure, I know a guy, I'll have him come by tomorrow." Michael said helping Ashton get tucked warmly beneath the covers again.
"Thank you." Ashton said.
"It's no problem. Goodnight, Ashton." Michael said.
Out of instinct with his other boyfriends, Michael leaned down gently kissed Ashton's forehead. Ashton blushed slightly and was thankful that it was dark in the room despite a little light that had been turned on for Calum.
"Do you want me to turn this off?" Michael asked motioning to the light.
"No." Ashton said quickly actually preferring the light.
"Okay. Again, goodnight." Michael said heading towards the door.
"Goodnight." Ashton said, already almost asleep again.
Michael quietly shut Ashton's door and went to his room smiling at the sight he saw. Luke was laying down, seemingly asleep, and Calum had his head laying on Luke's chest, his fingers lightly gripping onto Luke's shirt. Michael carefully slid into the, trying not disturb his boyfriends but Luke's eyes opened.
"Did I wake you?" Michael asked quietly.
"No. What took you so long?" Luke asked as he gently moved Calum off of him so Michael would have a place within the cuddle.
"I heard whimpering from Ashton's room so I went to check on him." Michael said getting comfortable in the large bed.
"Is he okay?" Luke asked.
"Yes he was having a nightmare. Or more like dreaming a memory, or we think he was. Remind me tomorrow, to call the eye doctor. Ashton wants to get his eyes checked." Michael said.
"Okay." Luke said laying his head on the pillows again.
Michael wrapped his arms around both Luke and Calum. Luke had fallen asleep almost immediately but, Michael wasn't as lucky to just fall asleep like that. Instead his mind was wandering, he wanted to help Ashton remember things but he didn't know how. Also, he was enjoying watching his two boyfriends sleep all cuddled up together, it made him smile at how cute they looked. Eventually Michael was able to fall asleep, with his arms wrapped tightly around Luke and Calum, just the way they preferred it to be.
