That same summer, Aimee and her friends traveled up north to the Chocolate Mountains to enjoy the fresh country air. For Aimee, it was a trip to celebrate her new freedom after putting an end to her toxic relationship with Prince Pelmazo. One day as Aimee and her friends walked through the valley; they suddenly stumbled upon Daniel and Prince Caddaric at their campsite. "Good morning, gentlemen," Aimee sweetly greeted the young traveling men. "Good morning, miss," Caddaric said as he kindly returned the greeting. "May I ask you what your name is?" Caddaric asked Aimee as he continued to keep his eyes on the pretty blonde-haired princess. "My name is Aimee," the princess answered as she looked into the prince's kind and intelligent light blue eyes.

"May I ask what your name is, kind sir?" asked Aimee. "My name is Caddaric," the prince said as he continued to look into Aimee's loving and sensitive light green eyes. "My friend Daniel and I are from the Peanut Butter kingdom. Where are you from?" Caddaric asked as he continued to learn more about the girl he felt strongly connected with already. "My friends and I are from the Jelly kingdom. We came here for the summer to enjoy the fresh mountain air," Aimee replied. "So are Daniel and me. Perhaps we can all enjoy it together, so that way all of us can get to know each other better," Caddaric offered as Aimee smiled at him as he spoke. "I think that is a wonderful idea, and I am always open to making new friends," Aimee said as both herself and her friends agreed to the offer.

As the days and weeks passed, everyone in the group quickly became very close friends with one another, so that they all began to see each other as family. However, throughout their time getting to know one another, Caddaric and Aimee learned that they shared a good deal in common with one another, as well as a love of music, dancing, and theater. Despite their few differences, both culturally and personally, they didn't allow them to get in the way of their growing relationship, and they immensely enjoyed each other's company, especially whenever they were alone and away from the eyes of their friends. Whenever they were either in the company of their friends or alone walking through the mountain valley, Caddaric always treated Aimee with complete and genuine respect and kindness like a true gentleman, in a way that Pelmazo never did. Slowly but surely, Caddaric and Aimee's friendship grew into love, without either knowing that the other was royal.

Although many of their friends remained oblivious towards Caddaric and Aimee's growing romance, Athena was able to see the changes in both Caddaric and Aimee's behavior towards each other. Athena may have been the only member of the group who knew what was going on with the two young royals. Still, she decided to keep her thoughts to herself to allow her friends some privacy and to allow them the chance to announce their love for each other to everyone when they were both ready. At the beginning of November, Caddaric and Aimee decided to declare their love for one another to their friends. Everyone warmly and happily accepted their relationship to their surprise and delight. However, both Caddaric and Aimee were due to return to their respected kingdoms in three days.

"I love him more than anything, Athena, but how can we continue our relationship while we are in two separate kingdoms?" Aimee asked her friend as she explained her feelings towards Caddaric. "You love him, don't you?" Athena asked the princess. Aimee nodded. "Then you can always take some time to visit one another, and you can always use your magic mirrors to talk to each other and exchange messages with your messenger birds daily," Athena told Aimee. "Also, two people who genuinely love one another cannot be separated by miles as long as they trust each other, remain faithful, and committed to their relationship, and always allow one another freedom.

Meanwhile, Caddaric was in a similar conversation with Daniel. "I love her so much that I cannot imagine my life without her, and I can be myself with her. I can tell that Aimee loves me for myself rather than for my crown because I haven't even told her that I'm a prince," Caddaric said as his friend quietly listened to him. "How can I keep her in my life while we both reside in two different kingdoms and show her that she is worthy of me and my heart?"

"Well, I think that you could always visit each other whenever you can, and you can still communicate with one another daily," Daniel said. "The best way you can prove to her that she is worthy of you by treating her the way she deserves to be treated and by being there for her whenever she needs you in any way you can. Also, it would be best if you did not keep secrets from each other, and you should always be honest with one another."

Once the last three days had ended and both Caddaric and Aimee had returned to their kingdoms, the two young lovers continued their growing relationship by remaining in contact with one another. Through weekly letters that their messenger birds carried and daily conversations with each other through their magic mirror. As the days and weeks passed, Caddaric and Aimee kept falling more in love with one another to their families' delight. Even though neither of Caddaric's parents knew the name of the maiden who had won their son's heart, nor did Aimee's mother know who her daughter's beloved was. One day as November drew to a close, Aimee decided to take a trip to the Peanut Butter kingdom to surprise her beloved with a holiday visit, not knowing that she would be in for a surprise herself.
