An End to Tyranny

Early the following day, the newly engaged royal couple left with their friends to return to the well in the Peanut Butter kingdom so Celestine could contain the plague back within the vial and had it over to the Archmage so the Council of Magic can safely destroy it for good. As the caravan made its way through the kingdom, Caddaric and Aimee were greeted with cheering and adoring crowds of people who congratulated them on their engagement. By the time they had reached the well and dropped Celestine off to meet the Archmage, the young couple had received numerous greetings of congratulatory from over half of their people. "Are you sure you don't want us to stay and help you?" Aimee asked Celestine as the young sorceress prepared herself for the most significant moment of her short life of nearly twenty-seven years. "I'm sure, Aimee, I will be fine," Celestine said to the princess, who was almost two years her junior. "Besides, I need all of you to go to the palace and wait to see if Pelmazo and his informant will show up and will end up being captured by the wizard guards at the kingdom's entrance as planned."

Once the small group arrived at the well, Celestine got out of the caravan, and as her friends left for the palace, she went through the barrier where Lord Socrates, who left earlier that same morning than she and her friends to lead the wizard guards to their posts, was waiting. "Lady Celestine, are you ready to perform the spell?" asked Lord Socrates. "I am Your Grace," Celestine responded. Celestine then removed the vial from the pouch that she had tied around the belt on her dress, and she began to recite the spell:

"Evil plague that draws breath.

Sentencing both young and old, healthy, and sick to death.

Remove yourself from your source of power.

Allow these kingdoms to grow by the hour.

This tiny vial within my hands,

Will become your prison from these lands.

For all eternity!"

When Celestine had finished reciting the spell, the water in the well returned to its original clear and fresh appearance, and the smell of death immediately vanished from the well. As the well went back to normal and its water became completely clear and unpolluted, the plague's magical essence became visible to both the Archmage and the young sorceress. Despite the sight, Celestine did not allow it to break her concentration as she used her magic to contain the plague within the vial again, just like her grandmother had before her. When the plague had been collected within the vial once more, Lord Socrates and Celestine went back through the barrier. When Celestine removed the border, they moved towards the palace to meet Caddaric and Aimee, where the guards had a shocking surprise.

The moment both Celestine and Lord Socrates entered the palace, they were greeted by Caddaric and Aimee. Along with Athena and Apollo, Caddaric's parents, and a group of both royal and wizard guards, who had arrived about an hour earlier, with a bewildered and angry Pelmazo and an unhappy Lady Jezebel in chains as their prisoners. When Celestine saw both Pelmazo and Jezebel as prisoners in chains, a sly smile crept on her face at the mercy of the guards. She knew that their plan had worked.

After Judas had been arrested, Celestine, along with Athena, Apollo, Caddaric, and Aimee, created a fake invitation to Caddaric and Aimee's wedding that falsely had today's date. The invitation had claimed that the ceremony would take place in the Peanut Butter kingdom at the royal palace. With Caddaric and Aimee's approval, Celestine sent the invitation to Pelmazo, and, as Celestine had predicted, he reacted at the supposed news. Pelmazo and Jezebel made their way to the Peanut Butter kingdom to stop the wedding, kill or poison Caddaric, kidnap Aimee, and force Aimee to marry Pelmazo. However, when Pelmazo and Jezebel arrived at the kingdom's entrance, they were immediately set upon and captured by the royal and wizard guards. The latter brought them directly to the royal couple.

Once the guards brought them before the engaged couple, they informed Pelmazo that his plan had failed. Aimee then lashed out at Pelmazo for causing two kingdoms to fall into an epidemic and lying to both her and Caddaric about having the antidote on his person to get what he wanted no matter the cost. With Lord Socrates and Celestine now present in the room with them and Celestine giving both Pelmazo and Jezebel a sly smile, they both realized they were duped. "I see you both received the 'invitation' that we sent you," Celestine remarked as she walked up towards them. "Liars, imposters, gold-diggers, and thieves are always caught and punished in the end. Now you will both finally get what you deserve."

Lord Socrates then used the same wordless spell that he used on Judas on Jezebel, stripping her of her powers. Once he had done so, Lord Socrates spoke up. "As much as I would like to see what his punishment will be. However, I must return to the Council of Magic with his now powerless informant and have her prepared for immediate execution and her formal removal from the Council," Lord Socrates said, much to both Pelmazo and Jezebel's surprise and shock. "I also have to return something to the Council and complete something we could not do years ago."

Celestine then returned to Lord Socrates's side, and she handed the vial over to him. "There you are, Your Grace. I am still very sorry about the delay," said Celestine. Lord Socrates just smiled at the young sorceress and told her. "It wasn't your fault, my dear child, and you handled the situation very well by helping your new friends and by providing the antidote you helped save two kingdoms. I know that your part in saving both kingdoms would have made your grandmother very proud of you if she were alive today."

Celestine smiled at the old Archmage's words for the moment when she and Lord Socrates learned that Lady Jezebel was Pelmazo's informant. They also discovered that Jezebel was willing to help Pelmazo with his plan to force Aimee to marry him, but Jezebel had plans of her own. Despite being next in line to become the Archmage and Head of the Council of Magic, Jezebel had planned to use her exotic beauty of raven hair and tan complexion, along with the aide of love potions and spells, to seduce Caddaric and trick him into marrying him. So she could get rid of the royal family and take over the kingdom. "Thank you, Your Grace, and I hope that your new successor will be a much better choice and they will not be a practitioner of false love and a power-hungry gold-digging streetwalker," Celestine said as she gave Jezebel a disapproving look. Celestine, unlike Jezebel, knew that True Love, like Caddaric and Aimee's love for one another, came from the heart, not from either a spell or a potion. "Don't worry, Celestine," Lord Socrates kindly said to her. "I know that when my time has passed, you will become the wisest Archmage the Council has ever had as its leader."

After informing Celestine that she was now his new successor, Lord Socrates, along with Jezebel and the wizard guards, immediately left to return to the Council. Although she was very shocked and surprised at the news that she was the Archmage's new heir, Celestine did not allow it to cloud her mind as she helped her new friends with Pelmazo's punishment. Two days later, with Pelmazo safely locked up in the palace dungeon, Caddaric and Aimee, along with their friends, had decided on the evil prince's punishment. That very afternoon, Pelmazo was officially banished from both kingdoms forever, and Celestine used her magic to transport him to the high caves of the Chocolate Mountains. Not long after his arrival, Pelmazo was caught in a cave-in, and Pelmazo was never heard from again.
