"Let me get this straight..." I say carefully to the DA and the administrator, my Mom on my left, my Dad on my right, and Naomi and her parents on Dad's right, and the Scott's on Mom's left. "I tell a girl to back the fuck off in a rude way...I don't lay a hand on her, but I tell her to leave me alone, and now you want to get me kicked out...?"
Silence. "Well when you put it that way, you make us sound horrible, but you were quite rude-"
I will admit I do have a bit of rich blood in me. I know what to say and when to say it, and I know how to worm my way out of any problem I have.
"Sir, she slapped me. She treated me horribly! I was only rude to her that one time and we basically referred to me as a rich bitch! She let my car roll into a lake and I didn't get mad at her! I have multiple witnesses that were at Olive Garden last night that saw her come in and started yelling at me, and then she hit me."
"I can assure you that this is all just some misunderstanding," Mrs. Scott begins. "Kelsey is the sweetest girl anyone could meet."
"She donated two hundred and fifty thousand dollars to all children's hospital and the rest of the money, after paying off both mine, Dylan's, and Naomi's tuition, to an animal shelter that was about to go out of business."
"She paid your tuition?" the administrator asks Naomi with raised eyebrows.
"No." Naomi says.
"Oh my god." I bury my head in my hands. "You can go ask the secretary in the office. I was working with her for over an hour. I'm serious. Go ask her."
The administrator's assistant walks out of the room.
A few minutes later, he comes back with the secretary.
"She insisted on coming, sir."
"This is crazy." The secretary says. "Kelsey came to me a few days after school started. She insisted on paying off Dylan Scott, Ryan Scott, and Naomi Lexington's tuitions. She took them out of debt. She paid eighty thousand dollars just to help them. She was nothing but sweet to me when she came in. Naomi lied. Kelsey paid off her tuition, and she doesn't deserve this. Her professor is sending her photo's for her project with Ryan Scott to the auction because they were so good. She is certainly one of our star students, and getting rid of her would not be beneficial for us, because she has the power and the skill to make our college number one. Kelsey is going places, and I'm hoping she'll be staying here for the next four years."
"Who is your professor that is sending the photos?" the DA asks.
"Lukland." I say, upset, running my fingers through my hair. "His name is professor Lukland."
The assistant leaves again, and a few minutes later, comes back with professor Lukland.
"Your kicking Kelsey out?" he asks. "No, she and Ryan are my two best student's. Kelsey is a fantastic photographer and she made a winter photo just two days ago out of styrofoam.
He shows him the photo.
His eyes widen. "This looks real." He says.
"As I said, it wouldn't be beneficial if we got rid of Kelsey because she snapped at a girl who hit her to leave her alone." The secretary says carefully.
"Well..." the administrator says. "Kelsey, I'm sorry..." he trails off and I look down. Mom begins to rub my back. "I'm sorry we were so rude. You can continue your education here at Saint Leo's. Naomi, however, I'm afraid we're going to have to kick you out."
"Wait." I say. "Why? Don't kick her out. We both messed up. Why can't we both just stay here? We can just stay away from each other. Don't kick her out."
