hyuck beamed a smile as he spotted the boy he's been meaning to meet. he's currently in a library, about to meet the infamous jung sungchan that renjun can't stop talking about.

donghyuck have read the letter from the said male. it was nice, receiving one of those love letters and letter of confession once in a while is nice. but he can't reciprocate the feelings. and he knows the other boy knows it too well and they're probably just meeting for formalities, or maybe, a new friendship would bloom.

when sungchan saw him, he waved his hand a little and the former seemed to be glad upon seeing him.

"h-hi... uh.. donghyuck-hyung...?"

donghyuck smiled as he motioned for the taller male to take a seat next to him, in which the former agreed. hyuck then wrote on his notepad, 'hyung, hyuck-hyung, either is fine sungchan-ah...'

"okey-dokey hyung. so uh, i know what this is about and before everything else, i just want to say that, when i was writing the letter, i know that i don't have the slightest chance of having my feelings reciprocated so please pleASE don't feel bad about turning me down." the taller spoke immediately as he rubbed his palms together, maybe an attempt to calm himself down.

donghyuck smiled at the politeness of this teen in front of him. wish jisung would learn something.. he then chuckled at the thought before pinching sungchan's cheek. the other boy just grinned as he exaggerates wincing.

hyuck then just let out yet again a breathy laugh before writing on his notepad, 'well said chan-ah ㅋㅋ anyway, i bet there's someone out there for you so don't be disheartened, 'kay? buT i am not turning down the possibility of being friends? is that okay?'

sungchan smiled as he shakes the older male's hand that was reaching out to him, "yes, hyung. i also wouldn't turn down something like that. and yeah, i hope i'd meet that someone soon."

donghyuck nodded as he smiled in agreement, his head bobbing to the rhythm of their hands shaking.

sungchan can't help but laugh at this adorable hyung in front of him. maybe they weren't meant to be romantically together, but this could work too.

"can i get a hug tho, hyung?"

'oof, of course beloved tall man'
