donghyuck's day went smoothly? which is kinda new since it never hapened ever since he started a new semester.

usually mark would've made fun of him while he walks down the hallways to the cafeteria but donghyuck's life is, peaceful? where could've mark went tho?

"hyuck? you seemed to be in deep thoughts."

donghyuck looked at renjun that was on his side as they walked together to the cafeteria. he then just shook his head and clung his arm on the shorter male's arm.

when they got inside, donghyuck's brows furrowed when he jaemin was alone at a certain table. donghyuck and renjun then hurriedly went to the boy and sat in front of him. renjun flicked jaemin's arm, that was peacefully resting on the table, to get his attention, before asking, "jaem, where's jisung?"

"i don't know honestly. all i know is that he left me to 'study' his math." jaemin mimicked the way the said boy spoke to him before leaving him alone.

"wait, what the hell? jisung? studying math? are you sure he didn't said he's going to burn his textbooks?" renjun confusedly asked, remembering how the said tall male always complain about how math is useless and can suck ass. donghyuck even agrees with what renjun had said and also thought the same.

jaemin pouted and ruffled his hair messily, "i don't know okay? all i know is that he told me a cute math fairy with a black hair has changed his perspective on math!"

renjun and donghyuck exchanged looks, both of their faces were painted with uncertainty and doubts, but they could only be proud i guess. i mean, their friend who hates math with overwhelming passion is now studying the same subject. thinking about it is kinda scary but they'll just hope for the best for the tall male.

but something is not yet clicking but donghyuck's thoughts are thunk. he then snapped his finger in front of the bickering males earning their attention. donghyuck then signed, 'but why are you alone?'

"uh, reonjeon translate." jaemin gulped, showing a peace sign to donghyuck. okay folks, jaemin tried to learn sign language okay? but note the word tried since he doesn't really have a passion on learning new things. he wants them to come at him naturally and not forcing them to be learned, (weird excuse but okay).

renjun grinned as he crossed his arms at jaemin, "hyuck's asking why you are alone."

donghyuck then nudged renjun. after getting his attention, he signed.

renjun then looked back at jaemin before speaking, "he also said, why is jeno not with you. which i also wanted to ask since normally he'd be with you because you two are like two frogs in a pond."

jaemin pouted again as something doesn't sound right in renjun's statement but he decided to shrug it off. he then sighed after, "i don't even know where he is. normally he would inform me if he won't be joining lunch but today i got nothing."

donghyuck and renjun felt bad as their best friend looks gloomy today. actually they know that jeno not calling or texting nana is really unusual to the two's relationship. usually, they know everything about each other, their whereabouts, and even when one was called by nature.
