"geez, our second class is in 30 minutes and nana hasn't updated me whether he is coming to school or just not attend the whole day."

hyuck looked down at the male that's using his lap as a pillow when he spoke. donghyuck laughed after hearing the older's rants as he fetched his phone and started typing what he wanted to say, before making the voice app say it, 'maybe he's really not going to attend. maybe jeno caught a really bad fever.'

renjun was startled as he got up from the younger's lap, "yeah maybe. anyways, that app startled me. and please don't use daniel, he butchers the names."

hyuck once again laughed and renjun mayhaps found him adorable and it honestly made his heart beat fast but shh don't tell donghyuck.

'well, at least i tried, renjun.'

renjun snapped out of his thoughts before groaning when he heard daniel's voice butchering his name's pronunciation. but then he thought of something, "h-hyuck.. can i hear your voice? i really wanted to hear you, even for just a hi."

donghyuck was a little taken aback and it made him pout. he lowers his head before shaking it. he fiddled with his hands as he became disappointed to himself once again. he really wanted to talk to them using his voice and not some kind of notepad. believe him, he's trying so hard but stupid things always got in the way.

"h-hey! it's okay if you still can't! just remember that me and nana will always be here for you." renjun panicked as he immediately hugged the younger tightly.

say thank you, hyuck. say thank you— donghyuck opened his mouth to try and say the words he has been meaning to say but he closed them again when no words came out.

it's just a fucking thank you! why can't you say it?! coward! donghyuck once again shook his head as he quickly typed on his phone and sent renjun a message.

'i'm so sorry renjun. i'm just— too much of a coward to speak. i-i understand if you're annoyed with me and hate me right now—'

renjun didn't finished reading the message as he lightly gave the younger's arm a hit. "i'm not annoyed nor you are annoying. you're adorable and i could never hate you because i love you, okay?"

donghyuck's eyes lit up as he hugged renjun tightly, practically tackling him down on the bleachers where they've been sitting and spending their free time. he then pulled away from the hug and helped renjun up before writing him a message again, 'i looooooooooooove you too!'

"really huh? can you kiss me then?"

donghyuck narrowed his eyes at renjun before snorting, taking it as one of renjun's unfunny jokes.

so to play along, hyuck giggled before leaning forward so suddenly making renjun fall out of the seat from backing away and from also having a mini heart attack. and being a good friend and having such a good friendship, hyuck failed to grab a hold of him so he just laughed.

but then a basketball suddenly approached them and it hit donghyuck's knee making him groan a little.

renjun furrowed his brows and stood up, dusting his pants after. he then looked at where the ball came from and saw someone running towards them, "mark what the hell?"
