Kuro POV:
She had the vision, she's been having the dreams... What am I doing wrong?
I sat on my bed, knees pressed to myself as thoughts whirled around. My personality was morphing again and again and she thought I was insane. Powers, a blessing and a curse. But what can one expect of a Dark like me?
My long hair brushed my back. The bob gently had brushed and tickled my neck, but now my hair reached my belly button. It ended in a straight line like the bob, but it stung the scars on my back. Of the things to do to a Dark, that part was the worst.
Another part of being a Dark means changing my name. Alice became Kuro, but it was originally just Black. They went through language after language, testing French, German, Spanish, English, Russian, Italian, Chinese, Cantonese, Croatian and Latin until they decided on Japanese.
My mind ticked away like gears, clicking personalities together to see if they could make the Kuro Clock tick and chime. Anger and Self-Pity were thrown out. They had been bad alone, but as a pair they had terrifying results. Otaku seemed to be easy to click with, and then I felt a click coming. This was one I couldn't trash or avoid. I panicked as Crysti read, caught in the world of Kami and Jared. The book was really go- no! I had to focus! This was no time for the otaku personality to click!
I felt my mind being overwhelmed by the sin that made me Dark. Panic was drowning me and I feared a lack of coping with Crysti's request. Silence had eaten away at me, but it was no way to take it out on her like this. My vision clouded up as my hands reached desperately, finding a metal object. I stood over my bed and attacked my head with it, falling unconscious to the sin.
Crysti POV:
The weirdest person I have ever met must be Kuro Herald. Herald. Isn't that some kind of religious preacher or angel preacher or royal announcer?
I shut my book and tossed it aside. I'd have to recommend Unspoken to Kari and... No. Kuro was too weird for his book, and I didn't need her getting ideas after earlier. Licking lips and trying to enter on a first kiss. What the hell was wrong with her?
I looked to her bed silently and saw her asleep with an old metal lunchbox next to her. My old Hello Kitty lunchbox, rainbow stickers chipping off. I grabbed it off of her bed and unlatched it, pulling out a dark secret. I slipped it back.
Kuro's eyes fluttered as I left the room to see Merily, whether Kuro liked her or not.
