"That's her?"

"Yes."

It was her. The same curly brown hair. Same bright hazel eyes. Same smile. Same pride in my chest. We watched her from a distance as she was leaving school. It didn't matter if she saw us, she wouldn't recognize us. But that didn't mean she didn't see us. Her smile vanished as she saw us, still being dragged by her friends.

"We need her. We'll need a human to help us."

"We don't need humans."

"Michael, you know as well as I that we need a human. We won't get very far without one."

"You want to drag her into that life?"

"No, I don't. But we need someone and she's the only one I can think of. She's strong and smart, she'll be able to handle it."

"She'll be in the life forever."

"I know that! But we don't have a choice. Believe me, I wish we didn't have to."

Sarah had finally allowed me to go home after spending hours working on our project. The quickest way home, was through the park. The park had hardly any lights, but that was okay. What I really couldn't get off my mind was the two people across the street. They certainly weren't from around here. They were too beautiful, too perfect. While the guy had been very handsome, it was the girl that had taken over my head.

I could remember everything about her vividly. The bright beautiful red of her hair, her eyes that sparkled like emeralds when the sun hit them just right, her smooth tan skin, perfectly shaped lips, her nice body and right down to her amazing sense of style. We may both have been females, but I was completely taken by her. But we'd probably never meet again. There was also something else about her, the way she looked at me. It was like she knew me.

But this also freaked me out. The fact that they just happened to be there when school ended, right across the street, watching. This worried me more than my want to see them again. I sighed as I continued to walk down the sidewalk that ran through the park. I had just past the bench with the lamppost on the left and a tree on the right, when I noticed all of the lamps going out. They would flicker then go out in a shower of sparks. Finally they all went out, except the one behind me. I turned around as it started to flicker. It went out, blinding me, then it came back on. And two people were standing there underneath the post.

"Rachel." She said, with a perfect and blank expression.

"Stay away from me, you stalkers!"

I turned continuing down the sidewalk, gripping the strap of my bag tightly. As much as I wanted to stay, I was freaked. She called out to me again.

"Rachel, we need your help."

"As if I'd help stalkers like you!" I shouted back, feeling a slight twinge of guilt.

"Rachel, I know you. You want to help, you can't stand to see a person in need. I need your help, Rachel."

"Stalkers!"

"Blackwing, she's not going to help us, we need to find someone else. I wanted to believe she'd help us too, but she's not going to." The guy said to her.

"No." She said to him before speaking to me again. "Rachel, we need you. We need you to help us protect the world and become an agent of Heaven."

"What and next you're going to tell me you're an angel or something!?"

"Yes."

I scoffed.

"I can prove it. Every night you pray, but not for yourself. You feel that praying for yourself isn't right. And last night you prayed for the stray cat in your neighborhood."
