I sat in the open window of the classroom, invisible to everyone but Rachel. I swayed my legs outside the room, sunning myself. It was quiet in the classroom, the teacher had decided to have a pop quiz.
Oh god....please, please, please let me do well.....I need to do well on this quiz...the school year is almost over.....
Rachel was praying. I climbed out of the window and rounded the row of desk between us. I looked at the test on her desk.
"Rachel, you know all of this. You'll do fine."
"Ri-"
She started to say something, but I quickly covered her mouth. A classmate glanced her way, but went back to their quiz.
"Pray. As an angel I can hear your prayers, while at the same time no one can see or hear me right now."
Oh.
"Don't let me distract you, you have a quiz to take."
She nodded slightly, looking down to her paper. After a second, she started writing. So, I returned to my window to wait.

Rachel shut her locker, the loud sound drowned out by the even louder commotion of the crowded hallway. She turned to me as I leaded against the locker next to hers."You were right, that quiz was so easy. So lunch, let's sit outside. Oh shoot! I forgot to ask my mom for lunch money."
"Don't worry, you've got an angel on your shoulder. How's pizza sound? There's a great little place up in New York, you can buy it by the slice."
"You don't have to go all the way to New York just to get me lunch. It's okay, I'll be fine."
"First of all, you're going to eat. And second of all, I'm an angel, it's not a problem. Just go to where we're going to sit and I'll be right back."
She opened her mouth to say something, but I was already in New York. I didn't miss how she shook her head and sighed 'Angels' though.
*****
"Lunch has arrived." I announced proudly."God, that smells amazing."
I raised an eyebrow and she realized her mistake.
"Oh! I didn't mean....I'm sorry.....angel, right."
"It's alright, you're only human. Now here, eat."
I sat down on the low wall in the courtyard next to her, handing her a paper plate with a large slice of greasy pizza. I laughed as she sighed happily after the first bite. Rachel glanced at me and blushed sheepishly.
"So, um, you said angels don't really have attachments, but aren't all of you siblings? Being created by God and all."
"What? No, of course not. Where did you get that idea? Your bible is so inaccurate. It fails to mention that humans were modeled slightly after us. Some angels are created by God, but some are born. There are four periods in angel history in which angel were created. These were shortly following the creation of each archangel. Other times angels were simply born from combination of grace, and depending on which form, it's similar to the angel version of intercourse."
"Which form?"
"Right, I never did explain that to you. See, angels have two forms, but you can only see one without being burned to a crisp. We have our more human form that is created along side us or our celestial form, which fyi is pretty freaky. You know, four heads and all, one of which is a lion."
"Weird."
"I know. Though, an angel can possess a human. With permission of course."
"And you said Michael had brothers, how is that possible?"
