The Arrival

As the scavenger got closer and closer to us, we saw a gate from a pharmacy open and her a voice yelling "Annika! Roderick! Get in here!" We saw the source of the yelling, and found out that it was Kelly." Annika, get into that gate!" I command, I can see about three guys coming out with guns and shooting the scavenger along with the other zombies that heard all of the yelling we rush in and see Kelly slam the gate shut as an arm gets dismembered under the gate. " are you okay? Did you get any scratches?" Kelly interrogated " I think we made it out just fine, thanks a lot for the help" I responded.
" Are you guys hungry?" Kelly questioned, " I am! I haven't eaten in about six hours!" Annika stated, " "I guess we could eat" I said, we walk down a hallway connecting the pharmacy and a restaurant that was next to it, the hall looked as if Kelly had built it herself "So, was this wall here when you got here?" I questioned "No, after we realized that we had enough protection and secrecy from the military, we came to a conclusion that we should just stay at a camp we had, until some idiots came and set off a bunch of car alarms and attracted a whole country worth of zombies to our camp, I'm exaggerating, of course, so we got overwhelmed and lost a fourth of our population, so we found this small town and had a one month and a half project to connect all of the larger structures here and we built some to connect to one house per family. We get so many people coming around here that we got as many people as we lost in the attack" Annika explained to us. " So, what brought you guys around here? I thought that you guys were under the protection of the military" Annika asked. " Well, we came looking for you and your people, the military is not giving out enough ration passes, so we snuck out of the camp, and came here, unintentionally, because we didn't know where your base was, but we knew that you were hanging around this area, so we came looking." I stated " Well, as the leader of the Moonstars, you guys are always welcome here, but be careful, if the military catches you guys here, or conversing with us, you will be held under a big punishment." Kelly warned " What is it between you guys and the military, I haven't seen anything wrong that you guys have done" Annika wondered. After Kelly explains the 18 year old feud, we sit at a booth and get served a baked potato that they grew and cooked in a stone, fire lit, stove. Along with a little salad that they also grew.
"Geez, you guys make food like the apocalypse never happened, I mean, not like I should know, I was born six years after the zombies came" Annika said " Well thank you, so you said that you need some food? Well I don't know how much we could give you, but we have some extra potatoes and salad ingredients, if you guys want those, it should last you maybe a week or so" Kelly offered. " Well thanks," I said " I apologize for just taking your food and leaving, but the military is doing an inspection soon, and we need to get back" " well, it's getting dark, do you guys want to spend the night?, it's getting dark out, and the monsters at night are worse than those during the day" Kelly said " I guess, if it's not getting in your way" I Accepted. " Okay well we better get you guys to your rooms after that long trek to get here" Kelly stated " Okay, I'm tired and thank you so much!" Annika said as she yawns. Kelly shows us to our room, and I lay down and shut my eyes as I slowly fall asleep.
