Matthews POV

The lights came around the corner faster than the speed of light. A group of about 15 EMTs came out of the 3 ambulances that pulled up on the park's grass.

Neighbors came running out of their houses to see what was happening.

"Sir, what happened?!" A man said, looking at me awkwardly standing in my boxers.

"She's barely breathing and she's freezing cold. Please! Help her!" Tears were streaming down my face.

I can't help it. She's beautiful. She's sweet, smart, pretty and I'd give anything to be with her. I swear, if I see that boy that cheated on her, I will lose it on him, even though she never finished telling me the full story. She's getting treated in an ambulance because of him, but if he never cheated on her, maybe I wouldn't have met her.

"Sir, do you know her parents' phone numbers? Or where she lives?"

"Um, no. You see, I just met her here. But, her name is Jessica Kelfer, if that helps. I'm sorry!"

"Okay, someone call Terry at the station she will look up her name," said a muscular man to another shorter EMT.

"Would you like to come with her to the hospital?"

"I'd like that."

Then 4 EMTs lifted Jess up onto a stretcher and off we were to the hospital.

We bursted into the hospital doors. Jess was on the stretcher, still in my clothes. I was given my t-shirt back, but I'm still in my boxers.

"Marlene, I need the doctor and I need an AED stat! She's too close!"

The lady at the front desk, I guess Marlene, her eyes widened big, then she nodded. She got up and ran down the hallway and came back within a matter of seconds.

"Room 26, doctors waiting in there!"

"Thanks, Marlene! Um, boy, you stay here, Marlene here will get you some clothes!"

I sat down and put my head in my hands. I shouldn't have let her drink, I should've took her home. She's too young to die. It should've been me, not her. I spend my days drinking 24/7. I don't have a place to stay, I'm not living in a foster home. I should've been responsible, she's the only person who made me happy, let alone talk to me.

"Where is she? This is all my fault," I heard a voice say. It was a guy's voice, he sounds nervous, like me.

"Sir, who's 'she' ?"

"Jessica Kelfer. Oh, and I'm Shawn, her boyfriend!"

I looked up to see the boy staring at me. Her boyfriend?! Yeah, right, okay! This kid needs to learn a lesson. Jess was so hurt because of him, she did this. What a jackass!

"Shawn? You wanna leave her alone? Haven't you put her through enough?" I was screaming, everyone stopped and stared at me.

He needs to feel the pain she's in.

"Who the f*ck are you!?" He yelled back at me.

"I have met some pricks in my time but you, sir, are a cactus! How dare you do what you did to her! She's in ther dying because of you!"

Then that was it. I grabbed him by the throat and threw him against the wall. People running all over trying to get us to stop. I still had him around the throat, kneeing him in the stomach. Over and over again kneeing him in the stomach.

His face went beat red and then pale, ghost white in the matter of seconds, then he let go of his grip, stopped his yelling and his eyes went dead.

I just killed him.

I killed Shawn.
