I was a heaving mess in Luke's passenger seat. I tried to regain my composure but it did not matter because he did not glance at me for the rest of the drive. I was crossing and uncrossing my legs. I looked around and took in the scenery. It was not on the way to McGarth.

"Where are we going?" I demanded.

Luke seemed to glow with dominance tonight. He would usually squirm and shift under my glares but tonight, he would put me down. He has.

Luke took his time answering.

"To my place."

I leaned forward, breathing roughly. The salt water I had managed to inhale scratched my throat deeply.

"I have things to do early in the morning."

"Cancel them."

I have never been so single handedly frustrated, angry and incredibly turned on by the same person.

"I will not."

He shrugged, taking a turn. "Well, you're going to be late then."

I sighed loudly and flung myself back in my seat. I have not felt this powerless since I last lived with my parents.

"Did you really never live in New York?"

I was taken aback by his question. "No, I lived there parts of the year. Mostly during my off seasons or sometimes holidays."

"You don't have a scottish accent."

"New York was were I felt most at home."

Luke nodded, still not looking at me. How long was this drive?

"What was it like in Scotland?"

I shrugged. "I was always busy there. Making appearances for the public or busy with dance or something else my mother or father claimed I just had to study."

"What did you study?" He asked.

I sighed and rest my head against the headrest. "Everything."

"Tell me."

"I studied French, Russian, Old English, some Latin and some German. Mother taught me Welsh herself, although I am not the best at speaking, I can understand well. I never studied health much but I did study Physics and Mathematics. Lots of History, oh my god, did I study World History. Father proclaimed I must study Archery and Mother forced me through hours of horseback riding. I remember one time my horseback riding lesson and my Archery lessons overlapped so Father told my instructor to do both. I ended up learning how to shoot arrows off a horse," I laughed at the end. I was gazing out the window the entire I spoke but when I glanced over, Luke was looking at me with a small smile.

"That's a lot," he said, turning back to the road.

"It was," I agreed. "But I particularly enjoyed swordsmenship and hunting."

"Wait," he laughed. "You know how to sword duel?"

I nodded with a smile. "I do. There was a family in the Wales, they continued the ancient tradition of sword crafting. They would also teach how use swords."

"That's possibly the coolest hobby ever."

I shrugged. "It has a ring to it, I suppose. Much cooler than dancing."

"Dancing's hot, sword fighting's cool."

I laughed and watched as Luke pulled up to a small house.

"You live here?"

He was getting out of the car. "No, it's my parents rental house but no one is renting it right now and I know where the spare key is."
