"You remember that girl?" I asked Michael.
"The one from the party with the Led shirt on?" I continued. He brought his eyebrows together, thinking.
"Um, yeah, I think so. She's hot right?"
I smirked. "Oh yeah, smoking. You should've seen her ass in yoga pants."
Michael jerked forward. "Dude, why didn't you invite me? You know I'm always down for hot chicks in yoga pants."
I laughed. "I didn't know Lauren had her as her dance instructor."
Michael groaned, stomping his feet childishly. "Why do you always get to watch hot girls jump around and dance in a yoga pants? It's not far man. Not cool bro."
I laughed. "Needless to say, I've never been more interested in dance before."
"It's totally my turn to take Laur to dance practice tomorrow."
I shook my head. "I've already her number, sorry. I call dibs."
Michael glared and chucked a pillow at my head. "Hey watch the hair!"
He turned back to his video games, mumbling something along the lines of "Stupid blond quiff."
I laughed and leaned back next to him, taking a drink of water as I went to my messages.
I clicked her name and typed in.
Show starts at eight, it's three blocks from the dance place.
I waited for a response but none came through for a solid two minutes so I locked my screen and divided my attention to Mike's video games.
"Hey!" A loud voice came from the kitchen and into the living room. I looked up and saw Ashton. His hair was messy and his new old man glasses were perched on the bridge of his nose.
"Hey old man," I said.
"Luke, my glasses do not make me look like an old man," he repeated for the tenth time in the past 48 hours.
"They kind of do," Mike said from beside me. "You look like a Fletcher now."
Ashton glared at the both of us. "Oh shove it, both of you. But Calum is on the way, I figured we might as well get on with band practice. It takes you two the longest to get ready to play."
"Yeah," I waved him off as I scrolled through social media.
"Yeah, just let me finish my level," Mike said right after me. Ashton sighed deeply at our responses. I was about to lock my screen when a text came through.
Violet.
It's called a studio.
That was it. No, 'yes I'm coming', just that. What does that mean? I sighed, slightly annoyed at her. She's hot but she's really not worth it if she's just an annoying twat all the time. I locked my screen, not replying and made my way to the spare room that we used as a practice room.
After we were all eighteen, we went and got a place. Mike, Calum and I stayed in one together while Ashton stayed at home with his mum to help out with the bills and his younger siblings. But since Lauren was about to get a job, he was going to move out. So we are soon going to be looking for a larger place, probably a house or maybe two apartments and only two of us would stay per apartment. That seems more likely than the house option.
I was in the practice room, tuning my guitar when Mike came in and sat beside me.
"Hey man, you got a text from Violet?"
