3rd POV
Time skip: 1 month.
Things have been pretty great for Romeo and Juliet, of course not including the many arguments they had. Betty was is stubborn, and jughead holds to much pride to let her get her way of the argument.

Betty passed her driving test, and attempted to getting a job behind jugheads back at least 2 times, starting half of their fights. Jughead and Betty now share a bank account, well it's all jugheads money, but Betty is free to go shopping or order food whenever she pleases.

Other than that their relationship is going better than ever...

"This is so nice juggie" Betty said as they sat down at a crazy expensive restaurant. "Only the best for my angel" he smiled.

They had small talk, as they ordered drinks and eventually ate.

Betty was now eating tiramisu (the literal best) as her heart rate increased was she really about to say this?

"Jughead?" She asked her breathing a little shaky. His beautiful eyes met hers as he looked at her concerned.

'Don't be ugly Betty' she told herself. Betty smiled sweetly. "This has been on my mind for a little bit and I feel like I should tell you" she started.

"I love you. I'm in love with you" she spoke quickly. Closing her eyes once she had said that.

Jughead looked at her in shock. Of course he loved her. He had since the very first time he saw her. 'Don't jughead. Don't do this to her' his mind repeated.

He sighed finally putting in. Betty looked extremely hurt.

"Betts. Please understand. We're reading the same book, you're just a few chapters ahead" he said. His heart nearly breaking at her expression. She smiled nodding. "give me a second" she said getting up to and speed walking to the restroom.

Jughead sighed he wanted to cry. He loves her so much. More than life itself.

It's too dangerous.

10 minutes later Betty came out of the restroom. He could tell she'd been crying, but no one else would have even guessed it.

"We should go" she spoke softly to him. He nodded standing up and holding her hand as they walked out. Jughead left a few bills on the table.

They got in the car. There was an always silence between them for about 2 minutes before jughead spoke.

"I'm sorry babygirl" she let out a quiet sob. "No jughead there's no reason to be sorry. I should be the one apologizing I ruined dinner" she spoke softly holding back tears. "no you didn't darling. I enjoyed it very much" he spoke. She sighed swallowing back her tears.

She turned to her side so she was looking out the window, as she sobbed silently. How had she been so stupid to believe there was even a chance he loved her back? As much as she tried to deny that she ever even loved him in the first place, her feelings were to strong to ignore.

She loved him more than she did herself. Everything about him. His smile, his laugh, his scent. He's actual perfection. Me on the other hand she thought.

I'm weird, bratty, selfish, insecure. He has every reason not to like me.

She sobbed and sobbed as they drove home in silence. Once they arrived "jughead I'm so sorry for everything I get why you don't love me back and that I'm weird. I can move out if you'd like that. And I promise I won't ever bother you ever again. I promise. Just say the word. Okay? I'm going to head to bed. But I can't deny my feelings. I really do love you so much." She cried still facing the window. "Goodnight" she said before she opened the door, running inside and into her room.

His heart shattered into why felt like a billion pieces. He was speechless. He got out of the car. Holding back tears as he went into his room.

He got in, shutting the door and locking it, as he got in bed, and cried. He cried for what felt like all night.

He didn't know what to do at this point. He couldn't just keep ignoring her when she said 'I love you'.

He had to think and fast.
