"I think I'm struggling to understand, Corpse. Do you like her, or not? You keep going back and forth!"

Corpse groaned. Hearing it come from someone else's mouth, instead of it just circling in his head, made him feel so guilty. "I... I miss her so much. I don't... I don't know if I like her, but I know I love her. I'll probably always love her! But I don't think its healthy to go back to an ex... right?"

Rae sighed. "I'm not really the person to ask that, honestly. I went back to Michael after we broke up the first time, and we ended up breaking up again anyway, and the second time it was more heartbreaking."

Corpse sighed. "So, its a bad idea to try again with Eden," he said, not really asking.

"You're always going to love her, and miss her, and all of that... that doesn't mean you guys are good for each other, it just means you're human," Rae offered. "Corpse, be honest, do you want me to be the supportive friend, where I encourage you to reach out to her again, and make things right, or do you want me to tell you it's time to move on?"

"I... I want you to be honest with me. I want... I want Eden back, but I don't know if that's what's best for both of us. I can't go back into her life, and expect things to still be the same. We are such different people now, especially me."

"I think she would take you as you are. I think she misses you as much as you miss her. But I know it'll take time before you two are the same as you were."

They sat in silence before Rae laughed.

"It'll be interesting to see you simp for someone other than Sykkuno," Rae teased.

Corpse agreed, and finished up his call with her.

He couldn't help but call Rae directly after he finished talking to Eden. He couldn't help it; his brain was fucked. He kept imagining Eden moving back in with him, becoming a couple again, her bringing the cat she had gotten after they broke up— it was toxic. He needed to stop.

Rae gave him clarity. She helped distinguish his feelings before he could even fully communicate them.

But he couldn't help but want to invite Eden over, talk through it all in person. He wanted to tell her all about the past six months for him, how exciting it's been since he has loyal fans now. He wanted to show her the fan art, how close they had gotten to what he actually looks like.

But he also wanted to explain where his head was at when he broke up with her. He wanted to explain the test results, and how in his head he was about how he would die, and leave her behind, and he couldn't stomach the idea of her at his grave. Corpse wanted to make things right. He wanted to give her a chance to explain why she said what she said last September, why she was so mean to him.

Rae said that was a bad idea. He needed to stay away until they could both handle it. 

But Rae also said Eden missed him.

And Corpse was texting Eden, asking if she wanted to come over.

NOTE!!
hopefully this little bit clarifies where Corpse is in his feelings about Eden.

i dont want to tell anyone how they should feel about eden, even if she's the main love interest in this story. if you hate her, thats fine, if you love her thats also fine. its called character development people!!! wooo
