hey guys Author here, I'm so very sorry for everyone who has been waiting for this next part I promise I am trying to get a schedule going so I can switch off days of riding on this book and my other book so I will let you guys know when I get a schedule going but for now I'm going to be posting as much as possible so please hang in there with me guys and please let me know how you like it and if there's anything else you would like to see in the story and hope you enjoy thanks for your understanding love you guys keep reading please. now onto the story... also to let you know a very long chapter this is

OK so in this story I'm going to have it where memorial day is on a Sunday I'm sorry I don't actually know when memorial day is so just bear with me please.

Sophies pov

so it has been a couple of days since I was last at the firehouse and my dad told me last night I am coming with them and I am staying with them for their shift which is 48 house. I heard my alarm go off and I got up go dress and to be honest, I was kinda scared, I would be lying if I told you if I wasn't but I am. I get all my medical stuff together and just some other things. and as I was sitting at my desk doing my work after to get ahead on school after I did my feeding tube. i was zoned out when I heard.

"Sophie let's go or we are going to be late." I hear my dad say from downstairs. I hurry and grab my bag and say "coming." I get downstairs and see my mom and dad at the door and my mom said "you got everything you are going to need, including your mask?" "yes I do mom," I say and we head out the door, and on the way to the firehouse, I remember putting in my headphones and then my eyelashes getting heavy and drifting into darkness.

then next moment I know I am being woken by my dad. "come on kiddo. we are here time to get up you can go lay down in my office let's go." my dad said gently to wake me up. I slowly wake up and I get out of the car and I grab ahold of my bag and put my mask on and go stand next to my dad and mom and hold their hand as we walk up to the firehouse I can hear a bunch of 'hellos' and 'hi' but I am so tried I could stand there and fall asleep then my I could faintly hear my dad say "I'm going to go put her in my office so she could sleep for a little while longer." "Okay, I am going to go to restock the ambo." I hear her say and me and my dad went to his office he puts me ins a bunk and I immediately fall asleep.

I just woke up from my nap to hear a beeping going off and I turn over to see it was my pump 'like of course, it would be my pump what else would it be' I am thinking to myself. I take a look at it and realize I just need to flush my line so I did that and grab the bag that holds my feeding tube and pump and then I exited my dad's office and went into the main area to find my dad and I walk over to him and say "what you doing dad?" as I see him on his phone. "nothing really, your mom went out on a call with squad 3. what ar..." as my dad was talking to me my phone went off. "sorry dad I got to get this." and I walked off to answer it

S- oh yes I remember you how may help you today?

CM- I was wounding if you would like to come to do the national anthem and a couple other songs of your choice for us again we would love to have you last time you did it we couldn't have anyone better else to do it. I just hope no one has asked you to do it yet?
