Everyone knows the Fantasy AU, it's like the only thing in this fandom we can all agree is awesome.
Well it's often said Datte Atashi no Hero, the song accompanying the AU, was actually written FOR the anime. I wouldn't parrot this too much, read to see what I mean.
The Wiki on this song states, "While writing the song, LiSA imagined what it would be like if Izuku Midoriya were to sing his honest feelings to Katsuki. In a way, this is a song dedicated to Katsuki from Izuku."
If anyone has an official source from anywhere OTHER than the Wiki, I'd be glad to see it. But as this is the only source I could find, it's better to say the song was chosen to be Deku dedicating it to Bakugou.

There's one big thing that makes it obvious Deku is singing to Bakugou here, one that no one can argue with.

Pairing these lyrics up with bkdk LITERALLY looking into each other's eyes makes the reason why this song was chosen obvious.
Looking into each other's eyes gives them strength to keep fighting, to be the best heroes.
