Taehyung p.o.v, the day of his escape
he knows they're coming.
and he couldn't help but feel nervous.
the moonlight shines brightly through the window that was out of reach. Taehyung stares up at the ceiling of his cell, his head completely emptied of any sort of disturbing thoughts.
all he had to do was wait.
he shifted his head slightly, looking at your sleeping figure that had no idea what was going to happen. he hated, absolutely despised the fact that he was going to leave you the day that he finally got the courage to kiss you, something he was dying to do.
he couldn't stop thinking about what you'd think of him.
was he being selfish?
for wanting to leave this prison despite the only person who has ever believed in him being stuck here?
he knows he can't take you with him. his boss doesn't like sudden newcomers.
Taehyung heard the faint sound of a car quickly parking outside and that's how he knew he arrived.
he slowly yet quietly got up not to awake you, before grabbing his every limited amount of belongings and stuffing them in the pocket of his jeans.
he heard one or two suppressed gunshots through the walls, before he eventually heard quick footsteps and a dark figure approaching him.
'quick. grab your stuff, let's go!' his boss now stood in front of his cell. he took out a key and started fumbling with the lock on the cell door.
Taehyung was ready.
was he?
he looked back at your sleeping figure again, before making up his mind.
he quickly grabbed a single, mini notepad and pen from his pocket.
'what the fuck are you doing—'
'you can't expect me to leave without at least a goodbye, do you?' Taehyung gritted his teeth, trying to keep his voice down.
he scribbled down the only words that clouded his mind at the moment, before quickly folding up the paper and placing it on his bed.
himand Yoongi then wasted no time in slipping out of the cell and eventually out of the police station, unseen and untouched.
they eventually reached the car in front of the station and wasted no time in climbing inside it, before speeding off.
'glad to have you back.' Yoongi said, happiness evidence in his voice.
'yeah...' Taehyung simply replied with. silence then filled the car.
the further he got from the prison, the more the pain in his chest grew.
should he really be doing this?
should he really be leaving you?
Taehyung's eyes eventually began to sting with unshed tears and soon he found himself crying in the backseat of the car, ever so silently.
you were starting to become his everything. but he threw all of that for freedom.
was it worth it?
