Special Chapter: Easter Day

"Good morning every--- what's happening?" the dining room is so festive with all the colorful decoration and everyone is a rabbit?!

Is there some event happening that I am not aware about?

"Good morning, Lady Diana. Your breakfast is ready." Mei said.

"Wow!" I exclaimed when I see the foods.

Scramble egg, hardboiled egg, fried egg, egg salad and toasted bread with egg. This is like an egg festival.

"You are all busy, Mei. Is there an event that's happening today?" I ask while I am eating my breakfast.

"Yes, it's Easter bunny today." Easter...bunny? It's the first time that I heard that. Does it have something to do with a bunny?

"Is that why you are all wearing bunny ears?" Bunny Mei is so cuuuttteee~~~!

"Yes. We are celebrating Easter to honour the goddess of fertility and spring, Eostres. Supposedly, the goddess's animal symbol was a rabbit, which have long been an ancient symbol of fertility, rebirth, and new life." Oooh! That's why!

"So, why do I see a lot of colourful eggs today? Even my breakfast is full of eggs." I blurted out.

"I apologize for not asking what you want to eat."

"Oh no, it's not like I am complaining. I love everything you cook, Mei. I was just wondering that's all." Now, I feel bad for saying it.

"There's a story that the rabbit would lay colorful eggs as gifts to children who were good so the kids would make nests in which the bunny could leave his eggs, and would even sometimes leave out carrots in case the hare got hungry. This was supposed the story but it change over some time." Oh, it's like passing the story from one generation to another. Every person have their own version of the story so, I am not surprise that it will change as the time passed.

"Now, the story goes that the bunny hides the eggs which contain toys, candies and other treats. Then the children search for it while carrying a basket. The late queen started this custom for all the children on the kingdom." The late queen must've loved children for her to do that.

"Easter bunny is now celebrated every spring time." I learned a lot from Mei about Easter bunny.

"I see..." I wonder if Cyril is wearing bunny ears too.

"Hehe!!!" I can't help but imagining it.

"Too bad Sir Cyril is not wearing it so, you can't tease him." Is she a mind reader?

"Aaawww... That's too bad." But that doesn't mean he can't wear it.

(Cyril somewhere from the castle felt shiver through his spine.)

Oh! The castle is open for everyone today. So many cute kids while holding their cute little basket on the other hand and holding their parent's hand on the other~! 

"Diana? What are you doing here?" I look behind me.

Ah! I found my first victim!

"Uncle Josh~! It is so nice to see you today!" I smile at him.

"Uh... Why do I have a bad feeling when I see you smile like that?" he is cautious but I just keep smiling at him.

"It must've been your imagination, Uncle. Is this all the children of Azgul?" I ask him.

"No, only the children of the commoners attended today." Maybe the nobles celebrated on their own way.

"Then let's help the children. The garden is vast that a child could get lost." I said.
