(A/N: kind of triggering?? I'll put asterisks ❤️)

Ariana and I didn't talk much about the wedding after that. She had all sorts of shows and events to do, plus the honeymoon tour.

We were currently packing and getting all of our stuff together to go on tour, and it was honestly our first time alone together to just think for weeks now.

"Lyric," Ariana said suddenly, throwing a pair of socks at my head. I looked up at her and pouted, making her laugh. Then I sighed. "You wanna know, don't you?"

"It's like literally been eating me up inside," she groaned dramatically, walking over and collapsing against me, making me fall back on our bed and laugh, my arms wrapped securely around her waist.

"Fine," I mumbled into her hair. "We're from two totally different worlds Ari."

"How?" She asked, genuinely curious.

"My mom is a single parent," I started out.

"Lots of houses are like that," Ari said. I shook my head. "No. She raised fourteen kids all on her own, Ari. I was so poor growing up. I had three pairs of jeans and wore the same ratty sneakers every day. We come from different words. And don't think that I'm ashamed, because I'm not. But, I don't know..."

"You thought that I would view you differently?" Ariana scoffed. "Come on Lyric, I thought you knew me better than that."

"I was just paranoid okay?" I grumbled and she laughed.

"So, thirteen siblings huh?" She mumbled after a while. I just nodded.

Then she exploded.

"Ohmygod that's so cute what are their names when do I get to meet them what are they like what do they look like-"

"Slow your roll energiser bunny!" I laughed, making her shut up immediately. "They're probably just doing homework right now, or just getting out of school. I'm sure we could drive over and see them."

"Yay!" Ari squealed happily. "Should be call ahead or something?"

"My mom doesn't have a phone," I laughed. Ari frowned slightly. "Should we get her one?"

"Nah," I replied. "I send her every paycheck I get. She could buy one if she wanted. I think she won't just to keep Haley from running up the bill."

"Haley," Ariana murmured as we locked up and climbed in the car. "That's a pretty name."

"My mom was always good with names," I smiled, remembering every single time my mom was pregnant and how she'd have me help her with name picking.

"Can you tell me all their names?" Ariana asked suddenly. "Like, from oldest to youngest?"

"Sure," I replied, smiling. "Charlie's seventeen. Jace and Logan are sixteen, the first set of twins. Eden's fifteen, Demi and Jade are fourteen, the first girl twins in the family. Stella's twelve. Charlotte's eleven now. Kyle's ten. Parker and Noah are the other twins. They're seven. Haley's six and Micah's three."

"Aw, just a baby!?" Ariana squealed.

"No," I laughed.

"What?" She pouted. I chuckled and said, "You're not kidnapping my moms youngest child, okay?"

"But babeeeee," she whined. I just smiled and shook my head. "No way."

"Do any of them look a lot like you?" She asked curiously. I frowned a little and turned my head away from her. "Um, just Micah."

"What's wrong?" Ariana asked, resting a hand on my leg.

"Promise you won't say anything about how much Micah looks like me." I bit my lip, scared to see him.

"I thought the secrets were over Lyric," Ariana said softly.

"I just, I can't tell you now, okay?" I breathed hard through my nose. I couldn't talk about Micah.

"Lyric..." Ariana held my hand tightly and gave me a hard look. She knew. "Lyric baby, it's okay. Shh, it's okay." I pulled over to the side of the road and began to cry. Ariana hugged me while I heaved and sobbed, just falling apart.

"It's okay baby, it's okay," Ariana soothed, gently running her hand through my hair.

"I-It was h-horrible," I hiccuped. "B-But I love him s-so much."
***
"So, let's raise him then," Ari suggested after a few minutes of silence. "Our little family, huh? We'll spoil him with love."

"B-But we're about to go on tour," I gasped, starting to calm down and push away that horrible memory.

"So? We can bring him," she said. "He's a baby, he'll be asleep by the time I need to go on stage. We'll have so many people with us, someone can watch him while you do the sound board and I do a sound check and all that stuff. Or he can sit with us and watch it happen. Okay? We'll make it work. I promise. You won't ever have to be separated from Micah again." I was breathing more normally now, my head resting on Ari's shoulder.

"I love you so much," I sighed, kissing her cheek.

"I love you too," Ari replied, kissing me sweetly. "Now come on already, I've waited long enough. I want to meet your family!" I just shook my head and laughed before starting up the car again and taking off.
